HI! just introducing myself to this team... Kelli from s/sw columbus area. I grew up in IL and moved here about 3 yrs ago. I have twin girls who are 2 who live with us and then 5 older boys who visit. I am looking for an accountability partner - someone who would perhaps want to meet up once a week to walk in the mall and just keep each other on track. maybe someone who also has little ones to stroll the mall with. I need to loose about 60# and have been seeing a nutritionist. I want to be more active- need to exercise. looking forward to "meeting " the group. Kelli
Happy New Year from Columbus! I'm a lifetime WW member also but haven't been in a few years. I know the program and that's what I'm going to do to lose this ugly FAT! This Buckeye team is a neat thing. As you can tell from my screen name I'm not a native Buckeye but I've lived here for almost 29 years so I figure I can be both. Good luck all!
Hey Michelle, It is so hard sometimes to raise our kids and get them out of the house, on their own, and able to do it for themselves. That in between age when they are not kids anymore but they are not fully adults is a time of great patience. Our oldest son is 27, has a three year old son, and is just graduating from college this year. We have had to help them quite a bit but it is all paying off. I guess what we can look forward to is the fact that they are almost there and we can focus on our own desires and dreams for our future. I hope you reach all of the goals you have set for yourself this Year! If I can be of any help to you just drop me a note. Linda

One thing I am figuring out is that your job as a mom is never done. I am 35 and have 5 step kids and 1 that is mine. The oldest is 25 and we still are constantly helping him and the next one is 22 and we just went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of things that you need to start an appartment with. Then we turned around and went to the grocery for him for the week so he can get started again. We will be checking in on him here and there since he is the only one that doesn't ask for anything when he needs it. Then I have at 2 18 yrs olds one with a baby then a 14 year old and mine is 10. Sometimes I just want to quit but then I get my brain back and know they all need me and my hubby or they wouldn't be with us. They are a gift they just need to realize their potential.
Enough of that blubber - I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Hey Janet, Welcome to the team! You sound like a busy lady and Congrats on all the weight lose. That's alot in less than a year. I'm from the Marion area right now, I've lived a few places in Ohio. I have never tried WWs but I hear a lot of people on this site talk about it with great success. Good Luck with all the goals you have set for yourself and Happy New Year! Linda
Hello jbshyphen, I am also a WW lifetimer. I lost my weight 3 years ago and I have stayed within 2 lbs. of my goal I am trying to get 3 lbs below my goal and was almost there before Christmas. I have to get back on track. WW has held me accountable since I have to get weighed once a month. That was why I joined WW. I could get it off, but I always gained it back within a year. I like this Ohio team. It is a special connection. I just retired from teaching in June and it is great. My husband is also retired and we can travel and spend more time with our children and grandson.
Hello, all. I am a Lifetime Weight Watcher member since just before Thanksgiving 2008, having lost about 50 lbs since Feb 08. I am here to support others on our journey to healthier weight and lifestyle and to help me maintain. I am a wife, stepmom, worker (man, will I ever get to retire?). I love to hike, bike, birdwatch, walk, kayak, read and kick back w/my friends.I am new to posting on this Team and SparkPeople; I find it a bit confusing. But I will figure it out. Best of luck to all in 2009! Janet
