Hi ya! New to the group, not to SP :) Never realized there was a group specifically for Nintendo Wii Exercisers :P I rely a lot on my Wii as a source of exercise. I have almost ALL of Just Dance, Experiences (Hip Hip, BEP, Michael Jackson, ABBA) Exerbeat, EA Active, Wii Fit, My Fitness Coach, TBL Challenge, Wii Sports, and the list goes on. Wanting to get a few othe additions, but am still quite happy with everything I own :) strive for about 50 minutes per day, first thing in the morning.

Hi, just ran across this team. The Wii is pretty much the only way I exercise, except for a couple of DVDs. I love the variety and the fact that with some games I can string 3 or 4 different ones together to make up an hour or so. Obviously, I get bored very easily!

Hi, I'm from Nova Scotia and I've had a Wii fit for a few years now. I really like the yoga exercises.
I'm interested in other wii games that I might enjoy - exercise or otherwise.

Hi again, I'm Karla. I am back to Sparkpeople and this team after a year or so. I decided to start all over with a new account so I can start fresh. Over the last two years I went up and then down again in weight but now I need to lose the last 20 pounds. This team always has the best challenges to keep me motivated...so you'll see me a lot more often. I'm so happy this team is still very active, with many of the same great leaders!

I'm Sheryl. I've belonged to Sparkpeople for a while but just started using it more. It has a lot more options then the other program I was using. I have started back on my Wii fit. A few year ago I had lost 35 pounds just doing the Wii, before hypothyroidism. So I have started back on my Wii as well as getting more aggressive at the YMCA, and line dancing. Looking forward to Sparking.

WALKATHOME01 - I added you as a SparkFriend. Welcome! FUZZIEBEAR3 - I'm so glad you said EA Sports Active 2. I just ordered that last night. It does seem amazing! I can't find Exerbeat anywhere (though that looks fun too) nor do I have Walk It Out. I have Zumba Fitness Core and the MJ Experience. I also want to buy Just Dance 4.

Lindsey -- I use EA Sports Active 2 - that game is a tough workout. I am almost finished with the 90 day program. I also use Exerbeat -- that is just fun, aerobic type exercise. I like Walk It Out -- fairly mindless, but somehow addicting. (And there is a spark team for it that it fun). Those three make up my main exercise. I also have and occasionally use Zumba, Abba Dance, Wii Fit Plus, Your Shape, and assorted games from the library.

Hi, I'm new to this team and my husband and I got the wii fit a few years ago and have been using it on and off. Just started using it again with my husband and even our 2 year old daughter so that we could get fit as a family. Of course our daughter is only able to do the baby stats for now but at least she t jumps up and down on the carpet while we are exercising and tries to do it with us. So adorable by the way. I love being a good influence for my child and the wii fit is helping me to do it. Love it.

Thank you! When I was on Spark last year, I was under my parents' gym membership. Then they canceled. So you are going to be my inspiration that I don't need the gym to lose weight, and Wii can do it!
What games do you have?

New to the group, but not new to Spark or to Wii! I re(joined) Spark on 11/18 but I was on it most of 2011. I mainly used Wii Fit Plus last time but needed to buy a couple new games. I am going to play the MJ Experience tomorrow, but that game is frickin hard! I bought Zumba Fitness Core (I have Zumba Fitness also) today and I just ordered EA Sports Active 2 right now as well. Might be picking up Just Dance 4 soon, too. With no gym membership, Wii is my saving grace.

Hello everyone.... I just realized I didn't introduce myself here. I joined a week or so ago and primarily do Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. Fun way to box without getting bruised or hurt. I occassionally also do EA Active but not as often. Always open to trying new and fun games.

Hi Brigette, Welcome!
There are lots of fun exercise games for Wii. Wii Fit Plus is a good one, too. As a matter of fact, that is my primary way to weigh myself.
You might check out your library to see if they have Wii games, or RedBox also may carry them. This lets you try before you buy in some cases. Also shop at GameStop or other places for some used games if you like. My favorites are Walk It Out, Exerbeat, and EASports Active 2. I also have ABBA dance, Zumba, and a few others.

Hi everyone. My name is Amy. Love using the Wii, and I mostly use the balance board and Wii Fit game. My favorite games are the penguin game, free step, snowball fighting, and many others. I have lots of other Wii games but I don't use them as much as I enjoy this one.

Hi - my name is Kim. I've been on SP for about a month now....have had a Wii for a few years but don't use it regularly (but keep buying games - just ordered Zumba after reading other peoples experiences). I am planning on incorporating the Wii on a more regular basis - hopefully has a second workout a day (at least using the free step while watching TV or something). Hopefully joining this team will help keep me motivated to use my Wii more often and get the results I desire.

HI everyone, I'm using my Wii to get into shape cheaply at home and save money on gym membership whilst having fun! Using EA Sports Active, More Workouts, Just Dance, Zumba. Wii Fit Plus, any other suggestions welcomed especially if I can buy them cheaply second hand. I'm aiming to live a healthy lifestyle by eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly, to develop a passion for fitness, and to drink more water. I've just completed the 6 week challenge on EA Sports Active More Workouts and plan to start the 9 week challenge on Active 2 next. I was recommended to Sparkpeople by a member of the moneysavingexpert.com community. I've had great fun watching the London 2012 Olympics and I'm looking forward to the Paralympics, the 'Meet The Superhumans' video is brilliant and inspiring www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/paralym pic-sport/9408389/London-2012-Paralymp ics-Channel-4-launc!es-Paralympic-Game s-advert.html, I can't wait!

Hi, I'm Paula and I'm new here!
I like using my wii for exercise games. I use Walk It Out a lot; I like Exerbeat if I can get it from the library (need to buy myself a copy); I also like Your Shape (nobody else seems to though). Sometimes I do Wii Fit Plus stuff, or Wii Sports Resort. I also have Zumba and ABBA Dance, and I like the other dance games and stuff that I get from the library too.
Hoping to join an upcoming challenge in this group, they look like fun.

hi all :) I love to work out on my Wii Fit. I don't do it daily, because I mix in other types of work outs like riding my recumbent trike, going for photo walks, going to the gym/pool, yoga, resistance bands, etc. Plus I do other work out stuff on the Wii other than Wii Fit like recently I got zumba which turns out to be really hard for me, but a good work out. Tomorrow is a strength day, so I'm probably going to do some Wii Fit strength training and a dumbell work out video

Hi all new to this team. I bought my wii about a month ago and love it I have the wii fit plus and walk it out. I want to get some of the sports and probably a dance game before long. I love being able to change the exercise I do. Because I get to bored doing the same thing over and over again.

Hello, new here. Hope this turns into a fun way to get in shape. I really like the community aspects of this. Makes me feel more motivated. Just got Active 2. Silly me thought i was in shape and that it would be too easy. I selected Medium workout level. Still sore two days later and I didn't make it all the way through the workout. So I think I will get Walk it Out and maybe another game and give myself some variety so that I don't get so discouraged. Active 2 is fun but it really was hard too. Anyway that's me. Hoping to enjoy the group here :) Dolphin Gal 2

My name is Brittany Nicole, I'm 25 years old and I LOOOOOVE video games lol I used to be an Xbox gamer, but gave up on it and invested in a Wii instead. I have yet to get Wii fit but am borrowing my friends Just Dance 2 game and it's soo much fun. I also have Wii Sports Resort and that's pretty fun too, but not much of a workout lol So if anyone would like to chat I am always down so hit me up! Thanks for having me and good luck to everyone!

Hello Team!! I am dusting myself off and starting up again. I *LOVE* my Wii, especially in these summer months when getting outside it too hot and humid for me (unless I'm by a pool!) I had no idea there was a Wii team and look forward to encouraging and being encouraged to move this body daily in a way that *almost* seems like play. :)

Hello all,
Name is Matt and I just reclaimed the Wii from my daughters room. I fixed up the basement family room and moved a tv, PS2, and Wii down there. I dusted off (literally, it was under a dresser and you could write your name on it) the Wii Fit board...it has been 422 days since my last visit and the thing is still mean,...it called me obese.

Hi, my name is Christine. I am not new to Spark, but have decided to get back to it and start all over again. Even though, I have lost about 20 lbs, I still feel I have to keep on exercising and eating right. And drink plenty of water. I like to use Wii Fit Plus, Walking It out, Zumba Fitness, Zumba 2, and My Fitness Coach. Also, I have Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone, and The Biggest Loser. I am thinking of buying Exerbeat next month.

I'm a newbie and didn't realize that the wii fit that my kids play on could actually help me out. soooo, I'm joining this team to get me going. I'm hoping to lose 50 lbs by the time I'm 50 but am looking at doing in 25 lb increments. I'll be 49 in October so I think I can do this.

Hi Everyone, Im new to this team as well...looking for ways to keep my Wii fit routines interesting and effective; as boredom is the death of exercise for me! I mix in other workout dvd's with my Wii fit, but I would love to hear about other routines that people enjoy doing. Im 61 and because of some injuries cannot kneel, so yoga postures and such that require me to be on my knees are not part of what I can do. I can get on an off the floor, but it isn't easy, so I save those exercises that require me to be down like that till the very last. Fortunately, there are not too many of them ! I usually warm up with an aerobic selection , then move on to strength and some yoga. Due to a traumatic brain injury, I have some balance issues, but I get "help" from a cane so that I can stablize myself. I would be so happy to hear about routines that other folks use! I am motivated and enthusiastic and working on an overall weight loss of over 100 lbs. I've lost 45 so far, and feel better than I have in a very long time. Please feel free to drop me a spark mail if you wish to correspond..I find outreach and contact to be very helpful!

Hi, I'm Cheri and I am a big fan of Wii Fit. It helped me stay in shape during the last few months of my pregnancy with my daughter and afterwards . I now have about 50lbs left to go and the wii fit and walking are my exercises of choice to lose those last 50lbs to get to my goal weight.

Hello all, I'm not new to Sparkpeople either. I struggle with my weight off and on. I get motivated and track my food and exercise but then life gets busy and i forget to do it. My goal is to lose enough weight to enjoy running around with my kids and feel comfortable going to the pool. I like using the wii but only use the resort sports. Can anyone recommend any other games that will help me with my goals?

Hello, I am new to this team and excited by all suggestions of games to try. As of now I have a few and I am working towards my goal of being able to use the wii fit-board. Sad to say I am to heavy as of now. However the games I have (Zumba 1, The Biggest Loser) give me a fun work-out to push myself farther.

Hi! I'm not new to spark, either. I don't like normal exercise and I have just discovered how much I love the Wii workouts! I have Just Dance and several regular games, all of which require more movement than I'm used to. I'm going to pick up the Wii Fit soon and add it into my repertoire.
I'm looking forward to getting to know fellow Wii enthusiasts!

Hello,
I'm not new to spark, just returning after a long hiatus. I lost 50 lbs using spark a few years ago, then stopped to join babyfit (sister site for spark), had my son and am only now getting into a groove where I feel I can try to get back to losing weight. unfortunately, I gained all the weight I had lost and then some back post pregnancy (I weighed 5 lbs less than pre-pregnancy weight 1 week after my son was born). Since I can't really do what I was doing before to lose as far as activity goes - I was walking/running outdoors - due to time issues, I'm going to try to use my wii as an alternate way to get that activity in. I'm excited to join the team - your challenges look awesome!

Hello, and thank you to the team for the spark goodie banner. it was a lovely welcome. i am a long term spark person who has lost over 30 lbs, and keep a healthy balance by checking in daily. my husband had a heart attack a few years ago, and was very depressed & quit going anywhere, except the dr., and gain a lot of weight. he has finally admitted he needs help, and spark is approved by his dr. @ the veterans hosp, and wii is the best way to get him moving. this is a good start for him to have some structured activity, and i like a lot of tips & hints we've seen here. thanks again for the nice welcome.

Hi Everyone. Farouk from Brooklyn NY. I bought Just Dance 3 and Wii Fit on Friday. The balance board keeps calling out to me but I'm having so much fun with Just Dance 3 (and sweating a ton!) that I haven't cracked it open yet! I look forward to sharing with everyone!

Hi I'm Betsy & have had a Wii since they first became available in the states. I didn't start using it for exercise until I got the balance board on ebay. It came with Wii Fit & My Fitness Coach.
I am disabled & can't do a lot, plus my balance is very bad, but I hold onto something when I'm doing the yoga. I really enjoy yoga & like the way that the Wii presents each pose.
I enjoy watching my niece workout with it. I get quite a workout laughing when she makes her Mii trip while running.
Let's see how much I'll lose by my cousin's June wedding.

Hi everyone! I love working out with my wii. I've had a wii for about a year before I started seriously using it to workout. I got a wii fit this past Christmas and you can't get me off of it! I also have a few other games that I love to play like Zumba and Cardio Workout. I love the idea of joining a group dedicated to the wii. I hope to find out about other great games to workout to.

Hi, everyone! I'm finishing up my 6th month with SP... I dusted off my Wii when I joined SP(10/1/11) and completely re-set it. Hadn't used it in over a year I began with 5 minutes of Advanced Step and am up to 20 minutes most days. I found a Walk It Out at a Game Stop and it didn't come with a manual, as it was used. I downloaded the manual, and find it very confusing... will give it another try! When I first joined SP I joined another Wii team, then I regrouped and dropped it. I am ready to be part of a Wii team now, and this one looked like a good bunch of SPer's to hang with. SO, Here I is! LOL! I am looking forward to exploring my Wii Fit Plus with you guys, and trying new games, too! Wii CAN DO IT!

Hi I'm Amy,
Joined this team as I use wii 5 days per week, mostly the wii biggest loser challenge game. Getting back to starting exercises again. As of today restarted my new workout schedule.
Doing 40-50 min. of wii biggest loser challenge 5 days per week, doing the 5K running challenge on SP, doing 1,000 step tracking on wii at least 5 days per week, also doing 3 days per week strength training program on SP. Trying to mix it up with a variety of a few things. The past 2 weeks I wasn't at home much so only really exercised once, but somehow I lost 4 lbs. I hope now that i'm exercising again consistently I can still lose weight as before I wasn't, but bought a variety of different foods to see maybe that will help. Before I was eating smart ones thinking they would help me lose weight like did for others, but i was gaining weight rapidly so I quit getting those and staying away from the frozen dinner meals. I'm not a cooker so I do buy quick meals to eat so see what happens, I also like to eat eggs especially scrambled eggs with cheese a lot, I eat quaker oats oatmeal which is good.

Hi, I just stumbled upon this team and am excited about it. I've had WiiFit for years but haven't really made much use of it [I enjoy doing the yoga and games, but it doesn't get that great of a calorie burn, and I don't enjoy picking and choosing my activities that much]. I did, however, just get EA Active [or personal trainer or whatever it's called] and My Fitness Coach from the library, so I'm enjoying those for the month. I might even splurge and buy the EA one later, I love it that much! Unlike most people, I *don't* have Wii Sports [or, well, I do but the disc is cracked], which is too bad because I really enjoyed the boxing on there.
I can't afford a gym membership and the workout dvds I have were getting boring, so these games are a refreshing choice. It's also encouraging to see that other people are getting results from them. I've only been doing them since Sunday [and working through a minor injury at the same time], so no noticeable changes in the scale or anything yet, but I've already seen a huge improvement in my endurance when it comes to cardio. Last week, twenty minutes left me feeling tired and weak; today I completed a non-stop hour and felt like I could still go on!
Challenge yourself every day to do better and be better.
Hi Annie- I have wii fit and wii fit plus which I will be using today- you can have such fun with some of these exercises.

Hi, I'm Annie. Just started using SparkPeople about a week ago. So wonderful to find that so many people out there are using the Wii to loose weight too. I enjoy Gold's Gym Dance Workout (which has both kickboxing and Latin dance) as well as the Free Step on the Wii Fit (so I can be moving while I watch my shows). I also own all 3 Just Dance games (which I love) Biggest Loser and My Shape (which I haven't tried yet).

Go Vikki- Sounds like you are really enjoying your wii. I need to get back on track with food tracking and exercise. Hubby has been in hospital for the last week so really hard to keep going and exercising with all the worries about blood clots in his leg and he is diabetic. Keep going girl and I will be back on track shortly I hope-

Hi everyone I'm new. I just got a Wii fit plus recently, can't believe how out of shape I am and how bad my posture is from what I've learned on it! But I'm glad I have a program where I can work on it now. And I want to say thanks to to the gals who gave me the spark goodie.

Hi All,
I am Melissa from Tucson, Arizona. I have been apart of the Wii fit and EA Active workout teams for a few weeks when I saw this one. My goal is to lose between 40-50 pounds to be in a health BMI range. My games I have right now are just the two above and of course Wii sports, but defiantly want to get a dance game. Would love to be apart of any group challenges this team gets going as well as meet some new people! Best of luck with each of your own goals!

Hi, I'm Vikki from the frozen tundra....Green Bay, Wisconsin (GO PACKERS!!). I've decided to incorporate the Wii into my daily exercises and have already noticed it paying off. I have a goal to lose 52 lbs and have already hit the 10 lbs mark. "Santa" brought my 11 year old Dance Party 3 this year and I have to admit, I am playing it more than she is...and LOVING it. What a fun way to exercise.

I just pulled out my WII again, and am using Walk It Out, for starters. I am getting back on track and trying to lose 100 pounds this year, one pound at a time. I know I have to exercise, and the only thing I've liked so far is Walk It Out. I would swim, but can't find an indoor pool anywhere near me - I live in the middle of nowhere!
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hey! My name is Naomi. I have set my New Year's resolutions, and at the top of my list is weight loss and getting in shape.
I bought the Wii and Wii fit board about a year ago. I've used them on and off but would like to incorporate them in my weight loss and fitness goals.
So here's to a new year, and a new me!!
