My goals for the month are to get some kind of physical activity every day. I'd like to be down another 10 pounds by the 4th of July but I'm not sure how realistic that is. Getting more fruits and veggies in too. I need non carb snacks.
Great goals everyone!!
My goals are as follows:
Lose 5-7 pounds this month
Exercise EVERY day, no more excuses
Track EVERY thing I eat and drink
Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day.
I, too, have joined the Amazing Race Challenge, and am in 5% weight lose challenge. I just need to be accountable to someone. I can't seem to do it myself.

I have a goal of 1,000 fitness minutes for this month. I am taking part in a challenge where I track everything I eat as well as my exercise and report it to my leader. I am also taking part in the Amazing Race challenge in this team and the Survivor Challenge in my Parents of Infants Team!! I also have a goal to lose a minimum of 5 pounds this month!!
I started a 9 week program on my EA Sports Active 2.0 on May 15 that goes through July 16. My goal is to complete the program - all nine weeks/36 workouts.
I work out 4x per week for 30+ minutes per session (those workouts are killer!) The game said that it should eliminate any plateaus for the duration and has split it up into 3 phases of 3 weeks each - getting progressively more difficult. I am excited as I just started week 3 so am almost done with phase 1. After that I might just do it again to keep me going and to have a schedule. It is an awesome workout and the 30-40 minutes of actual exercise (the clock stops if you pause the game or while it loads the next exercise etc.) definitely wipes me out!
On my off days from that routine I started doing Tae Bo again (the 30 minute basic workout)and I walk during the week on my lunch hour for at least 30 minutes.
That is my plan and I don't weigh myself very often because it frustrates me too much. I go by how my clothes fit and they are fitting better already. I keep forgetting to remeasure myself to see how many inches I've gone down though...gotta do that!
I need a schedule in order to keep up on my exercise and this works for me. I have a walking buddy at work and the kids now know that when I get home from work I get the TV to do my Wii or my Tae Bo.
Be Patient, yet persistent. Don't expect results overnight. Take it one step at a time. Let nothing stop you! You will get where you want to go.
