Hi, I'm Pam. For most of the summer, I had a hard time getting motivated because of the heat and humidity. However, I finally kicked myself in the butt and finally started using my Wii again. So I just need to keep changing my mindset whenever it gets into the negative lane. My focus this month is to keep exercising and trying to eat as healthy as possible.
Hi, I am Tricia. My enrollment date into Sparkpeople was in 2007. Every so often I jumped on just to get login points but nothing else really. Recently I jumped back on because the doctors were threatening me with diabetes and a bunch of pills if I do not lose weight. In effort to lose the weight I am back and serious. I really am not understanding how all of these SparkTeams work. Any insight into this would be great. P.S I LOVE the recipes.
I didn't do well, but I am on a mission NOW. What I learned is that this journey is not about winning a race, it isn't about getting to fit my skinny clothes, but it is all about empowering myself to make healthy changes that will last a lifetime.

I started my weight loss program just a month ago (not for the first time). This time I feel really confident - I really feel I CAN DO THIS! So my goal for August is just to keep going. Keep using my nutrition tracker and keep exercising. I'm proud of myself and I want to be proud of myself at the end of this month as well :)

I did really well for most of the summer with the food and exercise until I hit my two weeks of recent vacation. I can't seem to eat well on vacation and the driving part is awful. So back on the wagon and get rid of my sugar cravings first and then lots of exercise.

My goal was to exercise to burn 400-600 calories a day for the month of July. I did OK, but there were several days, I didn't make it. I want to try that goal again this month and get closer to hitting it.
Also cut back on "party" nights.
