Thanks again for the warm welcome! I've gone ahead and ordered a Wii & Wii Fit through Amazon, so it should be here in a week or two. In the meantime, I'm going to be looking through the team archives for tips and advice so I'll be ready to go when it gets here.
I think I have a way to get a Wii next weekend, and I'm very excited. I'm glad to hear that Wii Sports and Dance Dance Revolution also offer a good workout. I hadn't even thought of those as good for exercise.
If you were to just get the Wii system for now, it comes with "Wii Sports", which has Baseball, Tennis (played more like ping-pong), Bowling, Boxing, and Golf on it. That will get you started in the right direction. After that, I suggest the Wii Fit and DDR:Hottest Party (either 1 or 2). Then there are more, too, but they are both super-good when it comes to working out--and the best when it comes to controller responses.
LOL...got so into answering your question, I forgot...Welcome to the team!!

I live alone in the Maine woods and can not see another house or person. I was spending far too much time on my butt in front of the tv. I still spend time in front of the tv, but it is now about working out, challenging myself and getting healthy. I was just telling my parents that the wii and wii fit were definately two of the best things I have spent money on in recent years! I use it every night and look and feel better plus I am part of this great support team!
I too love wii and wii fit! I never thought I would ever say that because we have really never wanted games like this in the house, but it is the best thing that has happened with our family, even my DH likes to use both at times, so it is good for all ages!

I have never been really motivated to exercise regularly. The Wii Fit has totally changed all that for me. I've had mine for 48 days and have not missed a day and enjoy every minute of it. I love the Yoga, Strength and Aerobics. I also have DDR and Samba and enjoy them just as much. I highly recommend it.
