I don't know what that means, Marna. The high point for exercising? What is that? Where do you find that?

You might be mis-interpreting whatever high numbers you found. (But I still don't know what high numbers you are referring to, or, where they came from.) I don't exercise much, and I don't log my exercise, even the little bit that I do. My fitness tracker is totally empty. So, I don't have any high points for exercising.

Marna, that is where I do my walking is outside on the side of the street. We live in a small cul de sac area so I go walking there. The traffic is so minimal here, that I don't have to worry much.

Marna -- Up there in points? What points?

I don't do much exercising at all. Occasionally, I do a few sets of air squats, or a few sets of 5-pound free weights (arms or legs). Lately, I've hardly even done any of that.

Otherwise, I just wear a pedometer all the time. It records my steps. Running errands, like shopping, or doing volunteer work, because it gets me out of the house, helps me add a few steps to my daily routines, but, it's not much. Way less than what you do.

Most of the weight that I've lost has been because of dietary changes, not exercise.

LIVINGFREE walking is about all I can do I am 63 and can't do push ups or pull ups or any other kind of ups LOL so it is walking. I am just glade that I can do as much as I can. I am pushing it by doing as much as I do but it keeps the weight off. My legs get all numb and tingly and I have to hold on to the treadmill but I get it done. I don't walk outside except on hikes with my friend any more because I keep falling and breaking ribs.

I do loads of walking and some Pilates.
I think walking is the easiest thing for me to do since it requires less coordination than Pilates, although I still like to challenge myself and do Pilates.

11,482 steps is awesome, MARNA!

10,000 steps per day is recommended for weight loss.

But, that can be kinda hard (at least for me) with MS. Stamina is one of my major residual symptoms that I deal with.

I usually only average about 2,500 to 3,800 steps per day. I guess that, if I tried, I COULD do 10,000 steps per day. But, I'd have to break it up into lots of small walks during the day. I could never do it all, or half, at once. And, if I tried to do even one mile at a time, I'd be absolutely done for the day. So, I'd need my regular walking, plus about 4 or 5 short walks to ever be able to get 10,000 steps in. Or, one long walk with lots of short, sit-down breaks.

Good for you, MARNA.
