Just joined this team. My name is Gay and I am 61 yrs old. I have been a member of spark for a couple years. I was doing great and then my brother was diagnosed with cancer. He and his wife moved in with us until his death. He was diagnosed 10/13/11 and died 11/7/11. I lost my motivation then and it took me well over a year to get it back. I had lost 25 lbs but gained all that back plus 5 more. I had a wake up call 2/24 of this year and got back on track 2/25. I feel so much better. I've lost 17 lbs and a couple inches...which is the absolute best. I started doing Leslie's 1 mile walk and built up to the 2 mile and then the 3 mile. This morning I did 4 miles of the fat buster...wonderful work out! Not only am I doing it, my sister and 2 of our friends are now doing it. I was excited to be an encourager to them!

Hello everyone! My name is Jess and I am from Oklahoma City, where I live with my husband and our dog and work as a Labor & Delivery RN. I joined SP and started my journey to a healthier life just this past week. While weight loss is part of my goal, I don't want to simply focus on that, I want to become an overall healthier person. I quit smoking on January 1 and now being 60+ days smoke free I am ready to begin working on other aspects to become healthier. Over the next 60 days I am going to focus on making working out part of my daily life.

I discovered Leslie's workouts on YouTube about 6 months ago, purchased a couple of DVD's and have been doing them occasionally since then. I like that they are easy to follow and don't take up a lot of time but you still feel like you got in a good workout, even with just the 1 mile walks. I absolutely love Leslie's attitude and how motivating she is. I think that more than anything is what keeps people walking with her.

Hello. I am 62 (where did the years go)??? Have high BP, high cholesterol managed with meds. I am SEDENTARY !! I feel like my circulation is in super sluggish mode. Is this even possible? Anyway my goal is 10,000 steps a day. I will check in every day with daily steps. Hopefully that I'll keep me accountable. emoticon

Hi everyone. i am a restarter. at 218 I gained back 16 in 6 months betwenn medical checks. LS is my go to exercise but also I am putting bac on the pedometer this morning and intend to check steps as well with a goal of 10,000 per day eventually. after seeing what my baseline is now

Hi! I have been walking to Leslie Sansone dvds going on 3 years now since I joined SP. I think I own about 15 of them with all of her boosters and just ordered a new one that was released in Nov of 2011. So I am looking forward to seeing if there are any change ups with a new release. If there are, she had a few others that were released this past year and will be picking them up too! emoticon

I know some like all of her chatter but sometimes I wish she would just walk, or sidestep or knee lift or kick. But all of it is good so long as I keep moving! Looking forward to walking with the team!!

Hi, I'm Vicki. I live in Titusville, Fl. I'm 55 years old and 70 lbs over weight. I've been trying for over a year to get my weight down and all I've done is yo-yo back and forth. I did lose 12.2 lbs in 2011. I've started a low carb plan like I did back in the 80's ( I lost 105 lbs in 13 months and kept it off for 18 years), and I'm hoping to get the weight back off over the course of the next 2 years. I'm not nearly as active as I used to be so I know the weight won't come off as fast as it did back then. Plus I've gone into full menopause so my body tends to have a mind of it's own. I lose motivation easily so I'm hoping the team will help keep me motivated to stay on track. Thanks for having me.

Hi! I've been a SparkPerson and a Leslie fan for a long time, and have a boatload of her DVDs -- some so worn they won't play any more! I especially like her workouts during the winter, as I can fit them in no matter the weather.

I've been away from SparkPeople for a while, and my waistline shows it.emoticon But between Spark and Leslie (and the occasional side order of Richard Simmons or Denise Austin), I hope to be back on the path to fitness soon!

Hello, I've been a LS addict since the VHS days. But life goes on. Here I am finally getting a grip on my weight issues and with my bad knees and lack of steady exercise in 3yrs, I'm getting back on the WALKING at home wagon, very slowly.emoticon ... however, the last 4 days you wouldn't recognize me - I've been more like emoticon ... I have SIX LS videos, but truly only have about 4 of them that I really enjoy skipping around to the faster paced miles to see instant results. My latest blog and I guess my only blog tells about who I am and what my goals are. I'm here to add my nutrition & fitness into the calculators and just see my ticker pounds creep down the ladder! Hi I am Cheri and I just started doing Walk away the pounds recently and I love how upbeat Leslie is. I do them while my daughter is eating breakfast because I know if I don't do it then it won't get done. I am making it a goal to do a video every day for 100 days because I get bored very easily and always end up quitting before I even start. So I figured this challenge will keep me motivated . Plus I plan on ordering more videos in the near future to keep me from getting bored with the few that I have and I sometimes listen to my own music while doing the Walk away the pounds videos.

I just purchased my first Leslie Sansone DVD and I love it. I got the one for Abs. I am only doing the one mile right now, but it is a start. This sounds like a fun group, so I signed up.
I just ordered the DVD for the three mile abs with the resistance belt. These DVD's are really giving me insentive to start exercising again.

Could you recommend (or can anyone else recommend) a video that is similar to the Walk Slim: Fast and Firm 4 miles? I really enjoy the intensity and the group that she is walking with...I love their energy.

Good for new. I also enjoy Leslie's videos. I have not been much of an exerciser up to this point, but made it my next "checkpoint" for a healthy lifestyle beginning in July. I'll have to look into getting the video you spoke of. I like the 500 steps in 5 minutes. Sounds pretty simple. Keep up the great work-outs. mm

I am new to Leslie's dvds. In fact, I am new to exercise, but I know the many benefits of walking and decided to give them a shot. I LOVE HER DVD. I have walk away the pounds 3 mile. It also includes a 5 minute 500 step workout. It doesnt even feel like I am working. I do the 5 minute one before each meal and WOW. I easily get over 10,000 steps a day doing it. I am going to pick up another video today.

I have never been much of an exerciser, but Leslie makes it easy & fun. Thanks to my mom who sent me the first couple DVDs. My sister is sending me a couple more, so I can rotate the videos. I would like to try the walk & jog video, too.

Hi all!! I have been using WATP for a while now along with other workout videos - but I ALWAYS come back to Leslie!! She is the one workout program I can stick with long term!! Plus she has so many of them I can mix it up without getting bored!! I am currently down 37 lbs. thanks to Leslie!

I would love being a part of this team. I use to use the WATP. I have just gotten back on track with my nutrition, now need to get on board exercising. I misplaced my videos when we moved, but I was checking out our Exercise on Demand on our cable and found WATP there. I will have to work my way into it. I've been a fan of WATP for over 10 years. It's a great way to get in cardio when the weather is bad, and being that I live in the Great Northeast, we have months of cold and snow. It was a nice surprise to see that on Spark's cardio fitness tracker, 30 minutes of WATP burns more calories than 30 minutes of just walking, at least at my weight. I like that!!

Hello! =) I just bought her dvd a few days ago (walk away ten pounds) and already love them. It's so much more than just walking in place, I've been working muscles I haven't used in a while. I use to be a street walker, walking upwards of 10,000 steps in just one workout, in addition to living a lifestyle which had me walking everywhere, but I am very out of practice!!! It's good to have her dvd that I pop into my computer and work out in my bedroom. Every day, rain or shine, icy roads or not I can get a good work out in.

Good morning all, Happy February 1st! I joined this team recently. Am in the WATP team and typed in a search for Leslie teams, found there are several, so now in 3 Leslie teams. Can't get enough of the walk talk! LOL. I have had her DVD's for years, in January got a fresh batch, and donated some others. I have the new Bootcamp but haven't cracked it open yet. This is the month for that! Rarin' to go! Have been inconsistent with excercise in the past so it is key to keep with the program to meet my goals and stay heart healthy. Leslie is so fun and upbeat that I look forward to my time with her.

To the poster who asked if you could keep up with her DVD's, you can try out a few minutes for free on her walk club website.

Hello and good morning all. I've been looking over this group and decided to join. My new year's resolution was and still is to lose as much of this fat that I've been carrying since I was a kid but was postoned becuz I got sick on new year's after I got over that I got sick again and then caught a cold, curently fighting the cold and hope to start losing the weight soon. I've been a sparker for a while now but found it to be hard to lose the weight. I have a 3 year old little boy that likes to work out with me so it should be fun. I have a disability, I am paralyzed on the left side of my body. I can walk but just not very fast, does anyone think I'll be able to keep up w/ Leslie? Don't have any of her dvds yet but first chance I get I will get one. Well you all enjoy your sunday and God bless.

Hi Maria! The LS dvd I was referring to is a 5-mile, but there may be a 4-mile one like it. There are so many!! Yes I am training on the road, but the majority of my workouts are done in the truck because we are moving most of the time. I drive while hubby has down time & sleeps. When he starts driving, I workout & sleep. We do get time off together but not reliable enough to plan workouts, and stick to it. How long does your hubby stay out for? We are usually out 5-6 wks at a time. Feel free to add me as a friend!

Hi Tammy,
My hubby is also a truck driver, he drives regionally, the Northeast region. I, personally, could never drive a truck, there are so many nutty drivers out there I would be tempted to run them over with my 18-wheeler. .emoticon Instead, I am a high school teacher (25 years!), believe it or not they don't drive me crazy. emoticon I'm 46 and we have an 8-year-old son.
I, also, think I have the boosted walking where you jog for 10 minutes, is that the 4-mile DVD? Are you training while out on the road? If so, where is your favorite area to run in so far? I applaud you on your running accomplishments! You go girl on that 5k in March!

Hi! I am Tammy, 49, married (2nd), with 3 grown kids. My husband & I are cross-country team truck drivers. We love the job because we get to see so much of the country & visit relatives, but it does make trying to be healthy a bit more challenging. My next goal is to be able to run my 1st 5k on March 26th. This will be a major accomplishment for me as I have never been a runner. I'm currently in my 3rd week of C25K. I love Leslie! I have 14 of her dvd's! I would love to be an encouragement to you all, and hope to get lots of ideas & encouragement from you all too!

Mariabella - I have a LS walk dvd with jog boosts. The boosts are the last 2 min of each mile, so a total of 10 min of jogging. I love it. It's the one I do the most, and I have 14 of her dvd's. :) Isn't she the best?!

Hello everyone,
I am new to this team but not new to Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs. I own about 12 of her DVDs and enjoy them so much more than any other workout DVDs. I have been using her DVDs for the past 2 years and have lost 45 pounds during that time. I also have belonged to SparkPeople for about 4 years. On other workout DVDs they make me feel like I have 2 left feet, but I have never felt that way with the Walk DVDs. I particularly like her fast mile DVDs with boosted walking (jogging). I hope she develops a 5 mile boosted walking someday. I also like to go jogging and walking combined when the weather is nice, but in Northeast Pennsylvania that doesn't happen much during the winter months. Thank God for Leslie and her inspirational DVDs during these dreary cold months! Thank you to whoever developed this forum, you seem like a fun group!

I'm Theresa and I'm a SAHM of 3 beautiful kids. I just gave birth to my youngest 4 months ago,and have been working with the Leslie Sansone dvds for the last month. I LOVE them. I own 3 and her stretchy band. Even if I'm doing another exercise, I always "warm up" with at least one of her miles. I've been yapping on and on about Leslie and was so excited to find spark teams full of other people who also enjoy her workouts.

After using her dvds for a month, I am down 10 lbs and I can already tell a difference in how my body is changing and firming. It's WONDERFUL. Leslie is truly my new best friend

Hi, my name is Renee and I am new here. Leslie has been in my life since 2003. I fall off the wagon occasionally and her dvd's get dusty but I am on a different track here this year. I am doing this for me - and only me. My husband complains he is now gaining weight but he doesn't really have the motivation to do anything about it - I keep trying to change him though. He has done a few Leslie dvd's with me, but he says it takes too much coordination that he doesn't have. The dvd's certainly have come in handy even here in Alabama this winter, because it has been exceptionally cold here this year.

I'm new to this team, but not to SparkPeople or Leslie Sansone videos and DVD's. I started walking seriously with Leslie in 2002, but had some of her earlier videos. I have quite a collection! The last I purchased were from QVC the beginning of this year- the "Superwalks."

My name is Jennifer... Jen or Jeny is fine too! I am 34 and live in the beautiful Pacific NW (Washington State). I am mother to wonderful twin 13 year old girls who are super active and I'd like to keep up with them!

joined this team although I have not personally ever seen this exercise video...but my sister raves about it. I love to walk and and I am looking forward to making it more fun!

Hi! My name is Melissa and I have been walking with Leslie since January and just found this team. I joined a group of women in my neighborhood who meet a few times a week to exercise together. Most nights it is Leslie Sansone. My legs look fantastic.
I am definitely a Sister in Sweat. I walk home in wet clothes.
