Hi, I have joined Sparkpeople to help me track my nutrition and get my weight back down. As I get older it seems so easy to put the extra weight on and so hard to take it off! I find that by planning my meals each day I am better able to stay with in my calories. I have used other trackers but I really love this one. First of all it is free! Second it calculates the calories for me and let's me import different foods from other members or enter my own from the nutrition labels on the package. And 3rd I can go to the healthy lifestyle section and find restaurants and their nutritional values for items to help me choose a healthier meal when I am on the go to stay with in my daily calories.. It is pretty scary when your Doctor tells you that you are morbidly obese. I would really prefer to use this site to help me make lifestyle changes instead of going for lap ban surgery or gastric by pass surgery. I realize that for some people that is the best way to go but even with that option you still need to alter your lifestyle or you will end up putting the weight back on. Thanks to my nutritionist for guiding me to this site. I am hoping that I will be able to use the tools and resources here to help me meet my goal of loosing 75 lb.
