I love Leslie Sansone! I have been a fan for years. I have been hit and miss with hitting my step goals and recently purchased Miracle Miles to add to my collection of LS dvds. Hoping this team will help me to keep moving. I love hiking but when the weather is hot I need to get my steps indoors. I don't do well in the heat but pulling out my LS dvds will allow me to get it done indoors and banish my excuses. emoticon

I am new to the team here. I didn't even know there was a team like this. When I saw the name and then the picture of Leslie's dvd I had to check it out. I actually have three of her dvds that I use all the time for when I can't get outside to walk due to weather or just for whatever. I prefer outside of course as I love to look at my surroundings as I walk and let my baby girl just turned 7 months this month look around and see different things. But of course we can't control weather, so when it ends up being way too hot or if it's really bad weather due to rain, then I will pop in one of her dvds. The latest one I bought was the one where she incorporates the HIIT bit. Walking to the HIITs. XD I like it.

I'm new to this group, however I have been a member of SP off and on for years. I have started using a few different WATP dvd the past few weeks. I am really liking the new Miracle Miles. I have a lot of weight to lose as well as a bad knee, but have been doing the 1 mile daily and yday completed the 2 mile for the first time, almost killed me LOL.

Aloha ~ I'm DJ and new to the team. I may not be 'officially' starting for a few days - I've requested a dvd from the library and it may be available tomorrow (I hope) or Monday. I used to do WAP years ago and enjoyed it. In moving over I donated all the ones I had (they were VHS at that). I wanted to try the dvd from the library first - then buy if I like.

I've been trying to walk this past month but not getting 'out there' to do it as much as I need to. So thought WAP could do the trick! On days I don't go out for a walk I can go out on my lanai with a dvd/player and do the workout 'outside' anyway!

Excited about getting started soon ... need to be MORE ACTIVE ... I'm retired, a knitter and book reader ... so tend to SIT a lot - ha! Need to offset that ...

Hi everyone! My name is Kelly. I'm stay at home mom of 3 daughters that I homeschool and I have one 1 son that just moved out and is married. I have been struggling with my weight for many years. I been all kinds of different diets and on SP several times. This time I am going to stick with it. I have been a member of SparkPeople off and on a long time! My goal is to start walking, bad feet and all. My fitbit is a pal, and last week I had three days where I went over 7,000 steps so why not make that my goal? When I achieve that, I will work on 8,000 etc. It will be a challenge but well worth it!

Hi everyone😀 I just joined the group. I use the app "your daily walk" that Leslie has now because all I have at the moment is my iPad. I have many health issues that has made moving very difficult. I was able to walk 6 min today. I am motivated and just gonna keep pressing and do more as I get stronger. She has a gentle 20 min walk that I'm working on now. My husband and I are both changing our relationship with food. We want our health back at our age it is a matter of life or death (53&51) I enjoy reading of others successes it is an encouragement. We also have 5 precious grandchildren from ages 2-10. Each day is a gift from God it is so important to make the most of that gift he has given me. We are not promised tomorrow. I'm willing to work hard and with the help of SP I just know better days are ahead.

Hi! I am new to the team. I used SP a lot and did very well with it many years ago, but then moved to Sweden and injured my knee while there so I ended up gaining A LOT of weight. Now I am back in the US and just started doing the WATP as it is the only workout that does not seem to stress/irritate my knee.

Hi, all - I've been using Leslie Sansone videos as part of my overall fitness for almost a year now, but I'm new to SP. This looks like an active team, so I'm on board!

I usually do 30 minutes of Walk At Home before work, and do her routines for another 30 in the evenings while I am watching a movie or whatever.

I may go to 30 minutes a day, as I'm starting to put more emphasis on weights/kettlebells, but either way I'll be using Leslie's videos because they're so easy to use that they leave me no room for excuses ;)

Hello. My name is Carol and I joined SP the first week of August and have been sparking ever since. I started out walking for 5 minutes two or three times a day and today I was active for 89 minutes. My original step goal was 3,000 steps per day. My step goal now is 7000 but today I walked almost 9000 steps and 3.5 miles. I really enjoy walking outdoors and do not have a treadmill. Luckily this has been a very mild winter. If the weather is rainy I do laps on my front porch. I am looking forward to the January challenge and will start tracking at that time since December is almost over. Glad to be part of the team. emoticon emoticon

just a female walking for exercise. taking it slow. weight-loss is needed and a extra bonus. has type 2 diabetes, which is crazily out of control. walking for the heart and the kidneys. has trouble with anxiety and meeting new people. in a relationship for 4 yrs now. last year has been hard due to all things imaginable and a few unforeseen circumstances. slowly healing from depression and anxiety.

I'm Kathy from Minnesota. I am just recovered from a fracture of my right foot, 5th metatarsal (little toe). For over 3 months I have been relatively inactive and am now starting to get back to walking. A full out walk with my dog Daisy is a bit too much for me yet so I've started back on the treadmill. Hi, my name is Linda, I am from New Brunswick Canada. I am morbidly obese, about 175 lbs to lose. I have WATCHED many Leslie videos, have even tried them a long time ago, I know it is not going to be easy starting out, my back, knees and legs ache with even the little bits of movement but I also know I need to get moving as I have a desk job where I sit for 8 hours/day and to be honest, the rest of my day is not spent being very active either. Going to start small, work on the one mile beginner video. Probably take awhile to get to be able to do the first mile but that's alright, I am determined to do this :)

Guile1, I can relate....I put in a 3 mile dvd yesterday and I stopped at 2 miles. I 'll have to work my way back up. My 71 year old mom does 4 miles every morning. emoticon

Hello I m not new just been MIA for the last 2 years!!!! But I am ready to do this and I have come to realize that it will take a long time and a steady pace to win this battle!!! I use to do 5 fast miles with Leslie NOW I can hardly do one without running out of breath so my goal is to do a mile a day for a week and increase slowly to make it to 5 again. Problem I do get bored so I will have to get some motivation and get my butt off the couch!!!! I am hoping getting back on Spark will help me do that!

I will kick down that brick wall that is always in front of me and reach my goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I bought her DVD's before but I can't find them anywhere so I thought what the heck, it's $9.00 just reorder them! I think I've been here before but can't be sure. My name is Darlene but like to be called Dar. I use to live in Shelton,WA not to far from Olympia and now I live in Tacoma,WA not to far from Seattle and Olympia, I lost my husband 10 yrs ago and now my youngest daughter and her husband and the youngest daughter lives with me in a one bedroom apt. I love to walk and got plenty of Leslie's DVD'S and I walk on the treadmill in the office of my apt complex when I have time. I live upstairs and I do the stairs everyday. I'm a christian lady who goes to a wonderful church here in town. And I love the people there. So I'm grateful that I found this team again.

Hi there, I'm Suz from Calif. I'm just getting back into a regular exercise routine, after being fairly inactive for too long. Several years ago I was in top form, strength training, cardio, zumba, power walking...I let life stresses take over and soon, I lost the fitness & strength I once had. So I need to start this journey once again, and I trust Leslie Sansone for safe, reliable wo's. I also plan to do some beginner zumba wo's at home. Hi everyone! I'm Kara, 34 and I live in east Tennessee. I'm a librarian and I run a small rural library. I have been overweight since I was a child, and have been on medicine for high blood pressure for a few years now. I have tried to lose weight so many times, and would do well for a while before I let something get in the way and derail me. I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and the number on the scale shocked me. I am at the highest weight I've ever been. I have problems with my knees, sciatica, and of course the high BP. If I don't start losing the weight now, I am going to be unable to move before I hit 40. I decided it's time for me to take control of my life back and stop letting the food, the stress, the "whatever" it is determine how I'm going to live.

My fiance and I are on a journey to get healthy together, so that when we get married, we will start that part of our lives together as healthy as possible.

Good morning! I am brand new to this forum. I've been with Sparkpeople for several years, I use a Fitbit to keep track of my steps and aim for topping 10,000 every day. But truthfully I have slacked off. Lost 30 lbs. and regained 20... have 40 to lose to be in my ideal weight range. I walk 2X daily with my dogs, but you can imagine how stop and go that is. I'll be back home tonight and ready to go.

I'm new to this team, but not new to Sparkpeople or to Leslie Sansone. Every time I walked for any length of time with Leslie , I lost weight. But life kept swinging and I gained 20 lbs back of 77 I lost. But I am back and determined to lose that twenty. I love Leslie, she is so energetic and motivational. I am soon to be 55 yrs old. Recently rewed to a wonderful man. We both love to hike and camp but our work schedules (we both work psych in different hospitals) keep us from doing the things we want. I currently weigh 164 lbs and want to be somewhere between 140 and 145.

Hello-

I jointed this team last night. I am not a new Sparker just someone who fell off the wagon and is trying to get back on. I am 33 and live in Columbus, Ohio. I am married with a 2.5 year old. I have never recovered from pregnancy and have about 40-50 pounds to get to my goal weight.

I like these videos because I have space in my tiny house, I have a bad ankle and they are low impact plus if you add weights and do several miles you can make them really hard.

I am looking forward to the challenges - I need something to keep me focused and motivated.

Hello,
I am Lisa and I live in UT. I have been with Spark since 2008 on and off. I have come to the conclusion I need spark to help me get to my weight loss goal. I am a Grandma of 4 boys, I want to present a healthy way of living to them and hopefully they will never have to worry about losing weight and becoming healthy. I have been doing WATP's for a while and they are GREAT!! I did her 4 mile super challenge and WOW!! I am looking forward to some nice weather so I can get outside to walk, but until then Leslie is great and as she says it is a "no excuse walk"!! I quit smoking almost 2 years ago (June 13th) and started menopause at the same time--yay, lots of weight put on at that time! So far I have lost 17 lbs. and now need to lose the other 46!!

Hi, I'm Melanie but you can call me Mel. I am not sure if I have already posted on here. LOL...I have been a member of this group for a while. I live in SE Texas. I just got lost but now I am back. I go to the dr today to see if I can be released back to exercising. I had surgery a few weeks ago and had endometriosis removed and my fallopian tube tear fixed. I'm so ready to get back to WATP...Love it. I have several videos. I have about 75-100 more pounds to lose and hope to by my birthday in 2015 (May). I will struggle because I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis but I am up for the challenge and working hard to get to where I want to be. It will be so worth it. I look forward to being back on the boards helping and getting to know everyone.

Hi, I'm Liz & live in NYC. I love Leslie Sansone videos also Jessica Smith. I am coming out of a bad depression so I'm hoping to get out more, when I do I walk. I do at home walks but want to add outside walks like I used to, am hoping to get back to that size & maybe smaller.
