i also usually start my day with oats. snacks are usually an apple with peanut butter, or some ham and cheese on a rice cake with a bit of mustard. lunch and dinner vary widely. i've recently rediscovered pita pizzas, which i love to make! sometimes the usual veggie, protein, starch combination. i often have leftovers from dinner for lunch, so those meals tend to blur...

I usually start my day with oats. Lunch is a salad sandwich or just salad with protein in it like tuna or chicken. Dinner is a plate of cooked veggies and protein. In between I eat fruit and dessert is jelly and yogurt. Eating in SA is easy, because veggies aren't terribly expensive and you can get inexpensive proteins too. Currently tuna is R4.99 at checkers.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Hi

If anyone can suggest a healthy eating plan with food we buy in South Africa. In the morning i normally eat All bran flakes with 2% milk and no sugar about a cup full. I would like to keep on doing this as it keeps you regular and no bloating feeling. I do have a problem drinking water but will drink 8 cups of rooibos tea without sugar and milk per day. I also like green tea sometimes but not more that 2 cups a day. I am not a good cook and try to keep things simple and easy to make.
