Hi there and welcome to Sparks. I live in George along the garden route. Sadly, there is no magic to the weight loss issue. It is a combination of smaller portions, exercising and plenty of water. The smaller portions reduce the weight, exercise stimulates endorphins and makes you happy and gives you muscle tone. The muscle helps burn fat long after you stop exercising. And water is lifes miracle. It fills you, flushes out toxins and in the end, its the only magic ingredient in the whole plan.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Hi there from Cape Town

I don't know anything about Slender Wonder - but there are Teams here on Spark that use the HCG systems

What worked for me was pre-Spark and was serious attention to portion control, careful food choices - none of the processed stuff, eating clean, low GI but not too much of it, now I am gluten-free because of intolerances. Also increasing exercise

I think your 60minutes brisk walk daily is an excellent place to start and maybe you could have a look at the Spark videos and see what you fancy for Strength training. You don't have to go to gym - fill some empty cooldrink bottles with water and use them as weights :D Adding 10 or 15 minutes per day of ST to your program could make some significant changes in muscle definition

Also - please - drink at least 8 cups of clear fresh water daily - South Africa has such wonderful tap-water

Good luck - get in touch if you want

Hi I am new to spark people and to the forum.

I have been struggling with post pregnancy weight for the last 3 years and I have finally become so tired of being overweight and unhealthy.

I started my journey 6 weeks ago and I have lost 5 kgs on a diet programme called Slender Wonder. And thinking of going on it again to loose more and then start a low GI diet plan from my dietician.

I would love to know what has worked for the experienced weight losers.

I have also started brisk walking for an hour a day :)

Look forward to being inspired and motivated.
