So the Stormers beat the Highlanders but seem to have forgotten how to get across the Try Line :(

Heading off to gym shortly - Aqua aerobics today
Also going to return a pair of Jeans for credit - realised I still have a new pair waiting for me
Need to find some new trainers on Sale somewhere - can't handle high prices - poor old Pensioner :D - used to hear that all the time from Grandpa-in-Law!! Now I understand what he meant.

That's OK - we all have our problems :D

they just pulled back from possible disaster, and managed to beat the Melbourne Rebels this morning!!

Morning Charishma - no - I use www.geodistance.com and log my walks on that - then print them and have a file of different distances/walks that I do - sometimes I want hilly roads and other times I want to be close to the house so I can get back in a hurry if there's an emergency - variety keeps me interested - you can get the distance in kms or miles/yards

Some of us find that posting our activities, done or intended, keeps us accountable - my Real Life Energy Buddy has moved away from Cape Town to Pretoria so I now have a few Cyber EBs - works for me anyway :D

Today - I've done Aqua Aerobics and then Body Worx. Tonight I'll walk to Rugby with my son, climb 102 stairs up and down and bounce around in support of the Stormers!

No gym class on Tuesday (instructor has gone to New York to a Fitness Convention) so I walked 7.4 kms and twisted my ankle :(
So ... only did some necessary walking today to get Vitamins and fresh produce - 1.6kms

Hello again - yes, not gone anywhere but I'm not contributing unless someone else does too :D
Gym yesterday - Aqua Aerobics and expected a Zumba class in the evening - no-show instructor again (he has hurt his back) so I did an hour on the treadmill - walking - 512 cals 500 mtr climb
Today - Aqua Aerobics, 100metre Swim, Body Worx and then broke a tooth so had to walk to Dentist and back for emergency appointment. This completed my 4th Virtual Walkathon since New Year

Wish our Nia Instructor would come back - it made for good variety in Classes

tuesday - 5 min cycling, 20 min walk/run, abs and back exercises followed by stretching

wednesday - 30 min high intensity aerobics dvd. never previously managed to do more than 10 min. VERY PROUD!

Hi there - welcome aboard

Tuesday - Aqua Aerobics class in the morning. Added 200metres swimming
Evening - should've been Zumba - no instructor - so ... practised Latin dance steps for 15mins then 10mins of pathetic class offered by a substitute so I went off to the Treadmill for 2miles, 250 metres incline and burned a bunch of calories

Wednesday - Aqua Aerobics class then too much of a crowd for more than 100mtrs swimming. Immediately went into BodyWorx class for another hour - lots of lunges, Abs, stretching etc - no weights today

Going to chill for the rest of the day

Walk neighbourhood hilly roads - trying out new shoes - fine but as I got further into it, the heat built up, the sox started slipping and my baby toes got a bit pinched - anyway completed what I set out to do

6.53 kms - only about 3kms to go to knock off a marathon distance - hit the treadmill tomorrow before class and that'll do it

Going to have a quiet day - some by the pool, some with the remote, some on the phone

bit late getting here today - oops

- Walk neighbourhood - 60minutes 3.71 miles
- Go for brunch with friend/gym instructor to a tourist attraction on the mountain - views!
- Dance lesson - check-test with the boss - all OK and can proceed with next level :D
- Supermarket - student dining out again so I can relax with fruit and dairy (keep the spaghetti sauce I've made for tomorrow night - whenever! It's profitable when they go out!)

Did end up walking 4kms on Tuesday

Thoroughly enjoyed the Dance class - not really Zumba but a pretty good substitute - lots of fun and laughter, buckets of sweat and slept incredibly well

Slept for an extra hour and decided not to rush to Aqua (been going for 10 years!!)
BodyWorx class - and have an extra 1/2 hour Latin Dance lesson this afternoon - Styling - to get ready for next exams

BodyWorx - the increased weights are not so bad any more - just certain moves that give trouble at the end of the last sets :D

I heard today that our gym does have a Zumba class - but by a different name (apparently it is registered/franchised so fees have to be paid if the name is used) - will definitely check it out if I have the stamina tomorrow evening

Aqua Aerobics - absolutely dead today - heat, extra dancing (all the Boere dances and lang-arm stuff :D ) Feet sore, hips and hams very tired

Walk to rugby stadium with big brother this afternoon

Rest - and maybe use the pool - it was 23degrees at 7.30 this morning :)

Anyone out there??

Thursday
No gym - no class and supervising garden services
Walked 5.23 kms around neighbourhood hilly roads
Walked another 1.39kms to show new tenant where the Jammie Shuttle is to get to UCT
Dance lesson for an hour

Think that's enough exercise for one day
We ar having a thunder storm - bit of noise, little bit of large drops - hope it lasts long enough to save me having to water the lawn!

going to PNP for fruit & veg - don't use Food Lovers as I have to drive further and don't get the Vitality discounts - always end up buying too much which has to be thrown away :(
dance practice required - also bit of gardening - with the walking to PNP and shopping that all adds up to another 60mins of exercise.
Don't know why Spark keeps giving me 250 mins when I log 180 or 120!! Makes me look like an Amazon - and I'm not!!

I did do the extra walk to complete the Virtual Walkathon - in fact I did 1.9miles around the hilly roads

Monday 31
Started the next Walkathon by walking to school with the new student - 2.125kms
And then the Instructor didn't arrive at gym for the BodyWorx class so I walked on the treadmill - played with the incline and watched the calories - 430mtrs climbed, 420 calories burned, 4.5kms walked in 46min20secs - can't go faster as the machines are set for 6kms/hour :(

Anyway - now have clocked up 6.625 kms towards the Walkathon

Aqua Aerobics and generally walking around shopping and chores - bit of garden work

Taking it easy - other than cleaned the house :( and may go for a walk this afternoon to finish off my second virtual marathon this month - challenged by another Sparker to keep a record of walk/jog/run for the month and add it up - trying to do a marathon a month - I knocked off mine in 14 days so I started another one. Have about 1.5miles to go so I should do it today, rather than put it off but I won't push myself for a personal best today - need to chill a bit.

Aqua Aerobics - mostly cardio and legs with a bit of Abs today
BodyWorx - serious amount of cardio linking the intervals
Instructor asked me if I was OK since I'd done the full 2 hours without a break :D

Tonight - climbing and descending 102 stairs at Rugby - going to watch the Stormers vs the Lions - pre season warm-up game - with my big brother :D

Yesterday I went to college, than shopping for colleg, missed my workout and sat till 12 working!

Today went to college, I did my jogging programme and feel so good. No college work tonight. Yeah.

Neighbourhood walk for 7.154kms (according to geodistance.com) as no class for me at gym today
Met a SparkFriend for coffee and catch up chat
Dance lesson this afternoon

Decided not to get into decluttering yesterday - went to get my hair cut instead - feel much better for that too - and did a DIY mini-pedi - def.good for the ego!

Yesterday I walked for 2.5kms in a deliberately long way round to Cavendish Sq, to enjoy the Aircon :D

Aqua Aerobics first, followed by BodyWorx for an hour then a quick visit to tint brows and get lip wax :( and then PNP for top up supplies

BodyWorx class - someone swiped my weights cos I wasn't early :( had to use 3kgs each side for the full hour - will feel it tomorrow

Not going dancing tonight - twisted a knee and it needs to last a good many more years - more important than a social event - tho I could go for the company I suppose - not the same thing though!

Had 2 left feet at dance lesson today :( but it was a good workout and my instructor and I spent a lot of time giggling over my ineptitude :D

Had a great workout today at the gym. Definitly felt it today. Tomorrow is Running again. Oh and I found a Netball team Yesterday, so 22nd Feb I play my first game in 4 years. Im so excited!

Hi there - yes, there are notifications - at the top of the message board there's a button "subscribe to this ..." Also there's a little box under the box where you write your comment - says I want an email to be sent to me when anyone replies to this topic.

I check in with "My Spark Posts' daily - so I knock off my 5 for the points - sometimes I have something to say -other times I don't so I pick and choose my boards

Good to see you asked for help with form etc.

My day out yesterday was brilliant - a bit of a walk around the Vergelegen Estate (vineyard and history = heaven for me!) with old school buddy (1959-1964!!) and an Aqua class

Today - a neighbourhood walk for an hour - 6.28kms and a dance lesson this afternoon - 60minutes Latin and Ballroom

Oops!! Sorry... I thought they send me some kind of report if there is any new posts.

But I'm still strong. Did my running programme on Monday, Yesterday I did my Back Booster Workout and some cardio in between. But I have to say I didn't feel it. So I asked a friend that studied sport to come show me how to do everything properly. I want to feel that I worked out and at the moment I'm not very satisfied.

Today I have my Running programme out and have a good 5 K's in front of me.

And goodluck with the knee Karen!!!!!!

I just did cardio today. Just some running and rowing(I love rowing) .Oh and I feel like my legs are gona fall of! But I did it, one step at a time.
