2h of excercise most days is dr's orders for insulin resistance. No, those pics are photos, my whole family takes their pick of my paintings and dissapear with them. Fine with me, I do it to make people happy. You enjoy those interesting workouts. Let me know what it was like
In my case the little ones are a breeze but their daddy keeps me running in circles.. I help him with his factory and farm. Interesting working for the love of your life..his office is at the house. Not saying more..very interesting. I love my veggie garden. I love my animals. I want to start painting again- love oils but avoided the chemicals while preg and nursing. There is a photo of buffalo at sunset-grays and orange that is talking to me. Want to get it on canvas. I gym about 2h or 1h40 four/five times a week. Pretty busy, but I am enjoying it.
I don't supplement. I was terribly nauseaus this time around and the supplements, well, lets just say we didn't get along. I never did start up with them again. Now that I have been more careful with eating for a couple of days it is getting better. I still need to stop eating when I am full. Like everyone else I will finish everything I have on my plate or the kids' plates or the pots. (IF there is just not enough to save). I feel compelled to: DOn't want to let it go to waste. That is such a STUPID attitude. I'd rather let it pack on my thighs and feel bad about it. Sigh. I will learn!
I read a beautiful article about extended nursing. It made me sob and fired me up to keep nursing until my dearest lil mamma boy tells me otherwise.
So we've been babbling about me all the time! What do you do to keep your days full? (As if your little ones aren't enough to keep you busy!!)
That changed too when I stopped..the constant hunger dissapeared. If you do go over, just go over eating something super healthy. What supplements are you taking? I took the Sprotron preggie supplement. Was hungry anyway. DH did make me eat as much fresh coconut and omega 3s as possible because he read its great for the brain. I am glad you are going to keep nursing. Really sorry I stopped. Just keep going, you miss it when its gone.
:) They're so much fun at this age. Alot of work but fun. I need all the good thoughts I can get - I suspect I'll be nursing this boy for a long time yet. If we could break the frequency of nursings I'd be thrilled but other than that I don't mind too much. I hear ya about everyone else melting away as they nurse. Makes me jealous as all heck at times.
Now to go fill in my food log.... finding it REALLY tough to stick to my calorie budget - I'm hungry all the time.
I stopped when youngest was 10mnths. She is 13mnths now but I am still lactating over here. A cow myself. Between the two of them I have breastfed for 24mnths. I didn't lose any weight until I stopped. I think its just you me and my sister who don't melt when making milk. And I had more milk when I excersised, go figure. Would have been genetically gifted for the middle ages. I really miss it- you just don't worry that much about them when they get sick, which they normally don't. Weaning, ahhh will be thinking of you..
Dietsafari, yes I am breastfeeding. My little guy is now 14 months old and still wants to breastfeed every 2 - 3 hours day and night. I suspect that lack of sleep combined with my body's eagerness to feed this child has a lot to do with my weight issues (I lost a lot of weight the week I weaned my firstborn) I am letting him guide weaning as I do not work and because I do think breastmilk is amazing for them. I am not really concerned that restricting my calories will affect my milk supply - I'm a bit of a cow this time around ;)
Hello Tanja! SA is still just about the same as always.. Congratulations! There is no blessing like the bit of Jesus you receive in a child. You will drop the weight through Spark and have fun doing it. That really surprised me. Are you breastfeeding? Welcome back DS
I used to hang out here in 2007, but I left when I decided to try to get pregnant. My username then was Williams_mom but I decided to start a new profile and to tackle my weightloss head on and seriously this time. Our family was blessed in Feb 2009 with the safe arrival of anther little boy.
I live in Canada and immigrated here in 2003. Used to live in Hartbeespoort - between Rustenburg and Pretoria.
I looking forward to getting to know everyone again - have a marvelous week!
