Hi, my name is Sandy, I am 54 years old, I have been married to my best friend for 31 years. We have a beautiful daughter who is 26 years old, 2 dogs, Jake a yellow and white lab, he is 5 years old, and Precious Lenore a boxer mix is 10 years old, we have two cats, a gray and white tabby named Betsy and a multi gray Maine Coon named Vova, they are both six years old.

I had a kidney transplant in 2002 and developed Crohn's disease last year so my weight fluctuates. I gain and lose the same 15 to 20 pounds. My goal is to lose 25 pounds. Right now I weigh 159. I have a home gym consisting of a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and various weights and bands. I also have a wii machine but since my move this month I haven't gotten it set up yet.

I work at a university and am at a desk most of the day, although I do walk around quite a bit and on warmer days, I take a walk on campus. I am an evening exerciser. Looking forward to adding up the miles. Sandy emoticon

Hi Karen!

I know this is a little late to post, but the swimming of a tri or even a du is first because it is considered the most dangerous part of a triathalon. The potential for fatigue is great and being in a dark lake is the last place you want a bunch of fatigued athletes!

Hope that helps! And good luck with the Iron Girl!

Hi my name is Karen . I am training for the Iron Girl Triathlon 2014 - I was involved with the Triathlon this year - I was a Swim Angel at Pleasant Prairie, Wi - the experience was rewarding , have photos will post. I cycle emoticon everyday - until the snow hits or heavy rain - I found an indoor riding facility for those days . Swimming early in morning has been great training as I noticed that was the first event in the Iron - not sure if this is the norm for Triathlon ? Does anyone know ? Lil Racer emoticon
