I have found that tracking works well for me. I think that as well as taking care of what you put in your mouth, combining that with regular exercise is the key. I have worked up to exercising 6 hours a week and it is six hours I really enjoy. So my suggestion would be investigate the exercise resources here and keep trying things until you find two exercise routines you really like, and work up to doing them five or six days a week.
