I know what you are saying. 22 months ago when I started eating low carb to loose weight I found out accidentally (forgot my medication) that it also controlled my blood sugar with no medication required.
After 9 years of pills I'm not going back. That is the extra motivation I have to stay on track. Almost an unfair extra motivation.
I know what I have to do...I just wasn't doing it. Lost 40 lbs. on Atkins 3 years ago and have gained 17 back from "cheating a bit". Since joining last Saturday I am -3 pounds. My cravings are gone and my meals plans are quite simple. My carb addiction is the same as any other addiction. The more I had the more I wanted. There is a line that just can't be crossed and I kept crossing it and fooling myself. Back on target, hopefully for the long term!
