Everything was great at the doctors . SP has worked great on my diabetes, My ac was 7.5 the best it has been, she said that was a number she could live with,but I want it in the 6 that's a number I can live with.She was amazed at my cholesterol it was 148 hdl 53 she siad it was perfect and it has never been good. Told me whatever I was doing to keep doing it. I told her about sp and curves and walking. She said keep on.and to be proud of myself.

Hello and welcome, I just recently joined this team it is very motivating and helpful.I am going to doctor today and see how I have been doing. When I first went to this doctor in 2006 my ac was 13.5 and 3 months ago it was 7.8 . I get it going pretty good and I get off track and it goes back up in the 8's . I am hoping this site will keep me on track. I have neuropathy, it is no fun.Good luck.
Welcome to the team! My first A1c was 9.1 and FBS 192. Aches, pains, exhaustion, chronic sinus infections, tendonitis,etc. It took medication, diet and exercise (an important element) now my A1c is 6.3 (good for me) my weight is the same as when I was in high school and most importantly I feel wonderful, full of life and energy. And, you can do it too!
Change is difficult for everyone. It helps to know that some of the difficulties in coping with the new diet is just the normal change process humans experience. I have found that the adjustment to a healthy diet and exercise was mostly mindset.

Hi there i hope that you will take a good look at this site. I can honestly say I eat most of the food I have eaten all of my life. I have learned to prepare it differently and using the fabulous tracker i know how much i should eat. I began with an AIC of 8.8 and now it is 5.2. I have lost almost 50 pounds and I am healthier than ever. I will be 69 years old on the 13th and i am feeling great. I do walk and exercise i am afraid that really helps and now I love doing it. Using the Nutrition tracker really does help me to stay on track but i plan my own meals and track exactly what i have eaten. I was diagnosed with FIBRO, i had all of the trigger points and after getting off medications for Diabetes and high blood pressure I feel so good. I am sure the walking has helped me a great deal I hope you do as well as i have. Pat in Maine.

Welcome! All I can say is this . . . it may be difficult to follow the plan, and change things in our lifestyle. BUT the consequences (like hypertension, and cardiovascular disease are even more difficult!!

I guess this is where I introduce myself.... well here goes. My name is Tammy, I'm 44, and have been fighting with my weight since high school. I was officially diagnosed in 2006 with type 2, and have succeeded so far to be only on medication. I'm on a medically supervised diet, with food plan and everything!! I hate the food plan, I mean its doable but just hard to get used too. This is the third week and I have my first "check-up" in two days. My overall goal is to lose 100 pounds, can't wait to see the initial loss. I'm also fighting fibromyalgia, tendonitis in my joints, and menstrual migraines. The fun is just beginning....
