Welcome to the team. Taking it slow and starting with baby steps is the best way. My doctor says that people who loose weight slowly instead of trying to loose large amounts all at once, usually manage to keep it off once they acheive their goals. We are here to support you every step of the way.

This is a great place to be. I think of the site as my healthy journey. I was diagnose over 2 years ago with A1c of 8.8 after a year with spark I was off medication and my A1c is 5.5 still no medications. Blood pressure pills I no longer need. Cholesterol is good triglycerides just a bit high still so I do take medication for that Blood work is his month. Think healthy, I ditched the scale. I use how I feel and how my clothes fit to know i am getting smaller. Eating the spark way really helped me to lose 40 pounds Pat in Maine.
Pat in Maine. I FEEL Healthier every day with my Spark Tracker. I will do it slowly I like it that way. Toodle-ooo! and Toodle- Pip! JUST DO IT!

Remember that while money talks, Friendships sing and laugh out loud.
Joining Spark and this team is a really great start! We are all here to help each other. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Remember we all have been through similar circumstances.

keep it up! I'm finding Spark People really helpful as well. Trying not to focus on the weight loss part of it. I get so upset when I don't loose. Have to remind myself that it's about being healthier! I've been on Spark a week and already feel better!
I have been a diabetic for three years now, having trouble managing my weight and eating right.I have been "good" for about 5 weeks now and think sparkpages is one of the best things around! Slow but sure is the only way for me and not setting goals that are too lofty so you don't lose hope.
