Welcome back JoJo! Losing some weight when you have type 2 really brings all your important numbers down. If it's any inspiration to you at all, let me share. I've been on SparkPeople since mid-August and my weight loss has not been fast, but it's been steady. I've lost 27 pounds. At the last check-up my A1c went from 6.4 to 5.9, my cholesterol went down to 152 and my blood pressure is down so much, I'm off BOTH pills I used to take for it. My doctor had nothing but high praise for me and I told him about SparkPeople. He said, "Yeah, I have a couple of other patients who have had success with that, too." Stick with it this time, even if you have an "off" day a week, jump right back on the next day. It really does work! Especially if you are good about tracking your food and exercise.
