Welcome back JoJo! Losing some weight when you have type 2 really brings all your important numbers down. If it's any inspiration to you at all, let me share. I've been on SparkPeople since mid-August and my weight loss has not been fast, but it's been steady. I've lost 27 pounds. At the last check-up my A1c went from 6.4 to 5.9, my cholesterol went down to 152 and my blood pressure is down so much, I'm off BOTH pills I used to take for it. My doctor had nothing but high praise for me and I told him about SparkPeople. He said, "Yeah, I have a couple of other patients who have had success with that, too."
Stick with it this time, even if you have an "off" day a week, jump right back on the next day. It really does work! Especially if you are good about tracking your food and exercise. It keeps you honest when you have to enter it in the computer! Good luck and if I can be of any help to you, let me know!
