I'm so glad you decided to join this awesome team. We are an encouraging, caring bunch of gals. I hope you find yourself at home here. emoticon

Maybe today isn't the first step to becoming a healthier you, but it's an important day as you are joining a great group emoticon Remember slow and steady wins the race emoticon emoticon Start out with a small winnable success. My first challenge to you is to set up your nutrition page and track what you put into your mouth for two days. We often discover that we ingest a lot more calories than we thought. I believe your nutrition page is the single most important thing you have in your arsenal for a healthy life. If you go to high or too low you will not get the most optimal results. Let me know on the ROLL CALL thread if you accept my challenge and let us know each day if you managed to stay within your calorie range. This will get you started. If you don't stay in range, that's ok. The challenge is to track your food. Once you get used to tracking then we can work on staying within your nutritional ranges. If you have any questions please get a hold of one of us on the ROLL CALL thread. emoticon emoticon emoticon I look forward to hearing from you soon.

JESSY - Welcome to this great team of caring, supportive, and encouraging group of people. So glad emoticon to have you join us. I'd like you to set a goal for yourself. Instead of trying to stay active with the group, tell yourself "I'm going to stay active with this group at least twice a week." This way, if you have an anxiety filled day, it will still allow you a different day to stay active. When you feel comfortable with two days, then consider adding one more day to be active - so, instead of two, you'll have 3 active days. There's no rush with it. It's when YOU feel comfortable to progress further.

I know as for myself, the more active I am on any team, exercise program, or whatever the case might be, the better I do. It helps to keep me accountable to not only others but to myself also.

Also, have a small snack emoticon emoticon before you work out and be sure to drink lots of water to replace all the fluids you use up during exercise. Take those water breaks emoticon . Also, allow yourself another small snack . emoticon emoticon Be sure to allow for the snacks in your calorie allowance for the day.

A 39# weight loss is something to be proud of!!!! Just think of how far you've come!!! By now you must be noticing quite a big difference in the way your clothes are fitting.

Keep up the good work!!!

Hi! My name is Jessy and I'm new to the team. I'm excited about the weekly and monthly challenges. I'll be starting the monthly one in March since it's only 6 days away now. I'm going to try to stay active with the group. But to be honest, sometime I suffer from anxiety and can't seem to force myself to post for a couple of weeks. Then I feel guilty. I like the idea that this team has weekly challenges this way if I miss a week I can start back up the following week.

I was starting to jog on my walks right before the snow and ice started this winter and then stopped exercising all together for a couple of months. Though I took that time to focus on staying within my calorie range. Right now that's my major concern especially since I started exercising again and it tends to make me hungry, ravenous even. I will start really concentrating on balancing all my numbers once I can sync up my exercise and calorie intake.

I'm on a long journey. I pretty much have a goal to lose half of my body weight. I've lost 39lbs so far!! I still have 101 to go, though I'll be excited once I get to 164 which is the high side of my range.

emoticon
