I can relate to how you feel. I was an RN, worked for 22 years and was forced to quit and go on disability due to severe arthritis of the spine, almost 20 years ago. For many years after I stopped working I was depressed and lonely because all my work friends deserted me and I felt isolated. I was in pain all the time and was afraid to exercise. Like you, I had no motivation and spent most of my time watching TV.
I'm not sure what the turning point was but when I found Spark 6 years ago everything changed. I visited every day and slowly began moving more and changing the way I eat. I lost most of the weight I wanted to and now exercise as tolerated most days. All due to Spark.
You've made a great first step. Look around the site, check the tools, the teams, set up your page so others can visit and get to know you. There's so much here to help you. Above all, the support and encouragement you get from other Sparkers is priceless.

i'm 47 currently on disability due to stroke 3 years ago have little motivation to do anything very depressed unable to find a job in my profession, i have been RN for 16 years till my stroke so with little motivation have to force my self to be active would rather sleep al day or watch reruns on tv.
