Welcome Electamom! I think it's so cool that you're an electrician! I've always wanted to learn carpentry.
I know something of your situation. I took care of my mother while she battled endometrial cancer. While she was in remission we cared for my brother who died of Mesophelioma. After that Mom's cancer came back and she lost her battle as well. Those were the hardest three years of my life. But, afterwards God blessed me with a beautiful, funny, little girl. I was 37 when she was born.
I wanted to be healthy so that I could enjoy her and be a good example so I joined Sparkpeople. I didn't stick with it but I'm back now and really enjoying the support and how much better I'm begining to feel! So, don't worry if you have any sidetracks along your journey. You can always get back on track.
I'm very thankful for the things I've gone, through no matter how hard, because they've given me opportunities to be there for others. I don't mean just my family. I've been able to be there for others going though similar situations when they've needed someone to talk to. That said, I'm here if you need a friend. I'm sure many others will be as well. You have a great attitude and I'm sure you'll be successful!
The one Source of all-encompassing love knows nothing of boundaries; differing customs; geographic divisions; family splits; or differences in race, creed, sex, and so on -- it knows only love for all." Dr. Wayne Dyer
