Welcome. Small steps. Do you think maybe you are going in gun ho and then overwhelming yourself and getting discouraged? Are you expecting big results and getting discouraged if you don't get them? A pound a week is a huge weight loss when you have so little to lose. I am almost at goal. I was losing 2-3 pounds a week in the beginning because I had a lot of weight to lose. Now that I have around 20 pounds left to go I lose only ounces a week, maybe a pound. This week I stayed the same. You have to fight for every single loss. I even went to a personal trainer today, your first session is free. This is what he told me. He said it could take me 5 or 6 more months to lose that last 20 pounds. Don't get discouraged and just

Welcome to the team, Deena! We've all had our share of start overs, so you aren't alone there. For me what is proving to be different on this journey is that I am not "dieting;" I am changing my lifestyle. I am not doing anything today that I can't do tomorrow or in 5 years from now. I've changed or am changing some of my less healthy habits into healthy ones. Sure there are harder days when I don't want to go on that walk or do a workout; but I go back and read over my goals and the reasons I want to be thinner and healthier and that encourages me to stay on track. Stay focused on your goals and the reasons for having them and you will succeed! I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Hello everyone, my name is Deena. I'm 36 and I have a 16 year old daughter who just started driving and is getting ready to go on her first date. Times are exciting and busy in my life right now. I am trying to lose 30 lbs hopefully in the next 5 months. I'm not very good at staying motivated! I tend to give up rather quickly. This is probably the 100th time I've started over. Well I guess not giving up is the key. Maybe one of these times I might actually meet my goal, LOL.
