Hi Linda, welcome to the Spark Challenge Team, we are a great group of gals who are here for you to help you on your journey to a more happier and healthier new YOU!! I'm so sorry for all that is going on in your life right now, but your positive attitude speaks volumes for the wonderful person you must be!! So sorry to hear about your husband, I do hope things will improve for him. Now about your fibromyalgia, I know that this can be quite painful, and I did do a quick search for you, we do have a group called Fibromyalgia & Exercise Team!! I checked it out briefely, they seem to have discussions on diet, and yes they do, do exercises which would be appropriate for the pain level. You can either find this group by going up to the top of this page and type in fibromyalgia in the search box, or you can use the link that Tarra provided for you!!
If your having a bad day it's okay, I'm hear to listen and try to help you, and I do look forward to hearing all about your success stories too!! Good Luck!!
Joy overflows in my life!
I have inner peace!!
I have the power to change myself!
I have faith in my ability to succeed!
Hi Linda, welcome to Spark and the team. We have a terrific group of people here, some that deal with the same health issues you do. I am so sorry to hear about the ordeal your husband is going through.
Spark does have several teams that are dedicated to fibromyalgia. If you go to your Spark team page (link below) and do a search for fibromyalgia it will bring up a list of those teams for you.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and sharing this journey with you.

Hi Linda! You have found an amazing resource to help you with a healthier you! SparkPeople is amazing... But the people in the teams is where the true treasure is. This team is full of active, supportive and fun people. We have a few in our team that have similar struggles to yours.
One of the resources that may be good for you to check into is the "limited mobility" center.
Here is the link to it.
To find it without using the link:
Go to the menu at the top of the page, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, then select LIFESTYLE CENTERS and it is toward the bottom of the next list.

Hello Iím Linda
Iím a 62 year old lady with three grandís that I havenít seen for years. I signed up for this program earlier in the year but things went wrong; I hope to hang on this time. My goal is to lose at least 30 lbs. I was 170 lbs but now I am at 160 and I can not seem to lose anymore. With my health issues my goal is 130-125 lbs
I dropped off of this site because my husband has lung cancer, thyroid cancer and had a silent heart attack. Yet with all of this going on life is still great.
I have CHF and fibromyalgia and I have widespread pain, aches and stiffness in my muscles and joints throughout all of my body along with unusual tiredness. I try to exercise at least three times a week. So if anyone is interested in starting a group on fibromyalgia please count me in.
It is with hope and prayer that I will be able to meet and be friends with on the SparkTeams. I am a home person, so I hope someone will find the time to touch base with me every once in a while.
