Welcome to our team! This is an amazing place to be. I am happy you came back to SparkPeople. I too have a sweet tooth. I haven't been able to completely curb mine. But I have learned to budget something sweet into my daily calories. I still have my bad days, but they are fewer and farther apart than they used to be. :)

Welcome to our team Carmelita. We are glad to have you. I had an awful sweet tooth too, but I have learned to control it throughout my journey on Sparkpeople. I have treats occasionally now in moderation, and I'm very selective when I choose to have one. I no longer look at a table of sweets and want everything, most things don't even interest me any longer except my 2 favs which are Hershey bars, and ice cream. When I indulge its one or the other. Anyway, it took time and challenges to get to that point, but you can do it too! I look forward to getting to know you, and best wishes to you on your journey.

Hi Carmelita, and welcome to the Spark Challenge Team!!! So glad you decided to join our team. Sweetooth issues were my biggest issue in life, until it was too late for me and I wound up with Type 2 Diabetes. I love cake, cookies, candy, and ice cream, if it was sweet I was there, LOL!!! Since joining Spark People I now follow a healthy diet, I feel so much better, I don't miss the sweets that much and if I have a really, really bad craving for something sweet I chew a piece of sugarless gum the kind that is flavored like strawberry shortcake etc. Takes the urge away. Hello everyone. I just rejoined Spark People after being frustrated with the new WW program. I am a single mother of very active 3 year old. I am looking to lose 40lbs. My biggest problem is my love of sugar. I am trying to overcome this addiction and I will be seeing a Acupuncturist for addiction treatment Thursday. I look forward to participating in the group.
