Hi Team!
I've been so so so focused on my "work" (personal growth and healing work, that is), and it's all good (not fun, mind you, but good), however, I think it's really important to celebrate along the way, recognizing, remembering, and acknowledging all that has been accomplished, even if I'm still so so so far from my goals LOL
So, I'm here to join you all in the celebration emoticon

I am glad that you are here too! Positivity is one of those things that is such a simple concept, but can be so hard in practice. It's a good thing to practice. Sounds like you are making some awesome differences in your life, and I'm jealous you have an elliptical! Lucky girl :)

I found this awesome place because SP suggested you as a friend and I liked the title of your blog about "focusing on what's going right". Its what I've been looking for. A positive place.

Working on being happy and proud and thankful and kind is half my battle. The more I focus on it the easier it is to bounce back from mishaps in my diet and exercise, and the better I feel all around. I tend to take on the mood of the room and so I'm working on being positive around those who aren't, choosing not to participate in the negativity.

I've joined SP quite a few times and never really lasted. I heard a great quote this week, "If you keep doing things the same you'll get the same results." I love that! It goes both ways with success and failure. I realized if I join again and actually keep going I'll lose the weight (duh). Obvious for some but not to me until now.

Things I'm doing different this time:
1) Not giving up! I had two hard days this week but I dragged ass through them got back on track, added exercise to up my attitude and lost weight. Woot!
2) Small Goals! Right now I'm focused on losing 12 pounds. When I get there I will celebrate, reward myself then set a new goal. I take each day as a clean slate!
3) I bought an Elliptical! I hate exercise machines but I got realistic about myself and bought something I could put right in the living room that's all set up. If I get the munchies or need a positive boost I hop on it for 10 minutes and I've never regretted doing a single 10 minute workout.

Glad to be here. emoticon

We all have a story, where we have been and where we want to go. Share here!
