Hi Terry, and welcome to Spark People and the I Need Sleep team. I eat Greek yogurt when I first get up in order to take my meds. emoticon

Shrebri Welcome. i usually eat an omelet or oatmeal with my meds. They tend to calm the gastrointestinal route.

Hello and welcome to our team. If you have to eat, try something light until actually time for you to have your regular meals. Like veggies or fruit.

I take my morning meds with a bowl of oatmeal with a little bit of sugar free syrup in it. Sometimes I switch it up and use fresh fruit for a different flavor. Helps get me going for the day and no upset stomach from meds.

what's your sleep time. I sleep 4 hours (3;30 a.m.-7:30) if i'm lucky. so i know what you're going thru. are you eating because you're hungry or just because you're up. If you have to eat eat fruit or veggies. celery's good, hard to chew, takes longer to eat. drink water. the stomach is easily tricked. drink 8 oz and if your stomach is still rumbling 30 minutes later then you know you're really hungry. find busy work if you're up with nothing to do. work crosswords, dust the house, reorganize a drawer or the kitchen, busy work, occupy the mind. best i can offer. good luck

New to site. I only sleep about 2 hours a night if I'm lucky. I take meds. Makes it hard to do diet if you have to eat 30 minutes after you wake up. How do you handle this?
