Hi, and welcome back to Spark and to our team!! The same diet does not work for everyone. Spark does not believe in diets, they believe in learning what it takes to become healthy. Most diets you follow for a short time, but you do not learn how to change the behaviors that caused you to become unhealthy to start with. Most people who go on crash diets crash and burn and gain back more than they lose. Spark does not tell you that certain foods are good or bad. You can have anything in moderation. I joined sparkpeople back in August of 2012 and I followed the site for a few days and then I completely stopped. All the time i kept receiving emails and I ignored them. I have tried Atkins only to lose weight and put more back on. I didn't like the idea of not being able to eat certain foods. I have tried so many diet pills and supplements. I am finall at a point where I feel I must lose the weight or deal with the health issues. So I chose to get on track and work on losing weight. I like working as a team therefore, I know I have others I can turn to when I feel like giving up. I'm excited and ready to reach my weight loss goal
