I'm glad I'm not alone, I can't eat any tomatoes or have anything that is acid base because it tears up my stomach. I've been taking prescription antacid medication. I just started back on my diet and walk four times a week for 2 miles. I hoping to lose some weight soon.

I have it too resulting from a haital hernia. Currently I'm trying the following: lose weight, no eating after 8 pm, keep head elevated when sleeping, try to find my food triggers (specifically the highly acidic & spicy foods that bother me most), and take Nexium. I'm on this for 60 days as prescribed by my primary care person. She suggested I keep some Nexium on hand afterward in case needed. Things have improved. I have the occassional flare after a meal but not significant and no reflux at night. My goal is to control this if possible without meds

I have acid reflux and I want to learn to live with it. I'm hoping if anyone have some good suggestions.
