Welcome JGMARIE80. I'm relatively new too (been on the site about 10 days), but the discipine of logging everything I put in my mouth has created an awareness of calories consumed. My problem was never eating poorly, but eating too much so it helps me with portion control. Also I like the ability to get nutritional feedback. The tracker also helps me plan meals so I can keep within my calorie goal. I'm not successful every single day (I've fallen off the wagon a couple of days), but the "excess" is so much less than it would have been before I joined and I try, within the same week, to compensate for the excess.
