My name is Matt, I'm a 40 year old married Father of 5, (4 girls 1 boy). I'm from Houston, Texas and I have suffered from GERD for 20 years treated with Nexium and other prescriptions prior to Nexium. I'm here as a result of discovering yesterday that I now have Barrett's Esophagus and unless a drastic change in my diet occurs, I would have be on course to having cancer. But that's not going to happen!!
I've been on a fitness regimen consisting of using my treadmill to the tune of about 2.5 miles a day and on good days I can jog for about 1 1/2 to 2 miles.
I am well versed in what kind of diet I should be on, but up until yesterday it wasn't anything more than a phase that runs it's course a couple times of year with really great results in weight loss, blood pressure change.
I also write a blog at WordPress here: mattwalkersr.wordpress.com/ Stop by and leave me a comment if you find something I wrote interesting. I haven't posted anything related to my health on the blog yet, but plan on devoting some attention to health and diet real soon.
I'm glad to be here and may God bless you all in this journey! I'll be a good teammate!
