Hi everyone lost track for a while and gained some weight since, for some reason I became discouraged and depressed. But I am now back to my old self and working hard at keeping my weight down and getting it off. So far I have lost over 20 pounds and my goal is only 60 pounds away. I am averaging about a .5 per day and I am doing it with a 1000 calorie per day intake. My sedentary work is the thing that has prompted the low cal intake and it is working. I am not hungry at work nor do I crave and binge like before. I eat low quality protein, plenty of low cal high nutrition vegetables, and essential oils and fats only. I feel great and my body is tolerating this diet well. Any other suggestions would be great.

Welcome George. There is a video on the site for chair exercises. See if you would like to start this routine http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitn ess_articles.asp?id=720 If you strengthen your core you will find recovery after knee surgery easier. Good Luck
