Welcome to the team & good luck with your goals.
Please check out the teams that I am a co-leader:
Men In Christ
Thanks one and all, and really, it is good to be back! Started exercising again last week with deliberation and vigor. Now, today is the start of the serious calorie watching.
Hope you all had a great New Year's, I loved staying home with friends over, a nice dinner, and going to sleep shortly after midnight.
Thnaks again for the nice words upon return...ready to go!!!

1st Goal Weight = 210
2nd Goal Weight = 199
3rd Goal Weight = 187 [100 pounds lost since starting on SP]
Final Goal Weight = 179
On another Team a message was posted along the lines of: for my entire life every year my New Years Resolution was always to lose weight and for once, now that I've accomplished so much this year, I realize that by next New Year's Day, I will be at my goal weight and won't have to have a resolution to LOSE weight, only to MAINTAIN my weight.
That was a pleasant change of perspective which has me appreciating how far I've come and how far we ALL will come together here at the Spark.

Welcome back. For tips on Christmas eating, see the other topic on this forum as well as a Christmas eating topic on "Men, You're not alone". Some good ideas -- eating first, at home, where you control the food, then you're not as hungry when you are out and tempted to eat the wrong stuff, etc.
My father told me that when I got older I'd have weight issues. I did.
Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels!
Well, after a really good run with this and then the total disaster of ignoring the issue, I am back, humbly. Started off at 232 got down to 212 (for one day) and am now back at 220. The time of year, with all that goes with it make it difficult to start and stick with anything. So I decided to just get back here to the boards, record all that I eat and document my exercise. Starting Jan 2 will hit the calorie reduction in a serious way.
It is good to see that some folks are still here and are making progress. There are a lot of new names as well. Bottom line; this was working for me before, need to make it work again.
Happy holidays to all!!!!
