Prayer for Family and Friends
Blessed are You, loving Father, For all your gifts to us. Blessed are You for giving us family and friends To be with us in times of joy and sorrow, To help us in days of need, And to rejoice with us in moments of celebration.
Father, We praise You for Your Son Jesus, Who knew the happiness of family and friends, And in the love of Your Holy Spirit. Blessed are you for ever and ever.
Amen

Since the MS diagnosis I have tried to refrain from thinking to far or for to long about the future. MS is considered unpredictable and incurable so the future could look pretty bleak if I looked to hard at it. But last night my husband came home and said he met a man who's mom has had MS since he was a young boy. At one point he said his mom was paralyzed from the neck down for almost 4 years. As mysteriously and unexpectedly as the paralysis had started it ended the same way. After 4 years of being unable to move anything on her own from the neck down! At first the story made me fearful, thinking of what MS has already taken from me and the real possibility that it could take even more. This morning I woke up, still thinking about that lady. What must have gone through her mind as she lay in bed for 4 years, having to be rolled over, batthed, dressed, fed, wearing diapers, completely unable to do anything for herself and then to wake up one morning and to realize she could move her body again. Slowly but surely regaining mobility back. It started to bring back hope that as mysteriously as my "crippling" (due to daily vertigo, dizziness and weakness)started it could go. Yes, it could get worse but it could also get better and I never want to forget that.

I never made it outside but the boys got the lawns mowed! For those of you getting snow & ice we here in Florida get rain so its been a wet winter which we needed and everything is nice and green. Even the leaves on my maple trees are already the size of fifty cent pieces or more. It should be a beautiful spring!

Today my family and I are going to get outside and work on the yard. We have a little cold front arrive and it may be the last of the season so I want to get outside while I can!

Share a little about things you and your family or friends are up to and what you have planned for the future. Like vacations, reunions, holiday gatherings, recreational activities or just day to day living stuff.
