Linda, thanks for checking out Moonjoggers. I get occasional email from the site to signup for their virtual races, or about logging miles for the week, the emails I get daily are from the Facebook site, and i delete most of them.

I checked out the website and it looks pretty good. My only question is how much e-mail do you get from the site? I am always skeptical about signing up for things because it seems like they generate a lot of jun e-mail. Has this been an issue for you at all?

Hi everyone. I have been with Spark People since April 2012, and walking everyday since then. I have Osteoporosis and am trying to use exercise instead of meds. I started out using a cheap pedometer in April and May, then bought a Fitbit. I have now built up to 10+ miles per day and beginning to walk/jog part of that 10 miles. I have done several 5ks, 10ks with my local Spark team. That team has definetly help me get out and explore more of my Southern CA neighborhoods.

In 2013 I joined a virtual running team called Moonjoggers. www.moonjoggers.com/ In 2013 we went to the moon and back. This year we are headed to Venus. You can sign up for free (or you can pay) and all you have to do is log your miles on a weekly basis. It has definetly kept me motivated to walk more everyday. It doesn't matter if you run or walk, they encourage everyone regardless of what is happening.

"LBJ" at my house is short for Lazy Bones Jones so I'll call you Lynn. Welcome to the team. Looking forward to getting to know you. I think without a printer the best that you can do is to just get out the old pencil and paper and go at it "old school". I'm sure others will have different suggestions but I'm not a techie so "old school" works the fastest and easiest for me.

hi all, my name is lynn and i am new to the team. i tried to copy and paste the beginner program into my browser, but had trouble doing it. could someone please tell me how to do it. and i don't have a printer so i can't print anything out. i MAY be able to use another printer, but that is a bit iffy. thank you............oh, i live in maine, and i am 44 yrs young and a proud mother of a 17 yr old son whom you can see pics in my photo gallery.............lbj (aka lynn) my friends here at home call me lbj, and please feel free to do so also, but lynn is fine too.... emoticon

I would love to join your group as my goal is to increase my walking. I already walk at least 10-15 km a week, but I want to increase it as it is my only form of exercise.
I'm 39, married, mother of 2 boys.

Hello, I am Carol from Ohio here. I started my get fit and healthy journey last Spring (wow almost a year!) I have lost 60 pounds so far, and walked my first 5k! It's been a crazy winter here and I have not been able to get out and walk. I joined this challenge to get ready to start my Spring outdoor walking again. I just bought a new pedometer to help motivate me to move it, lol. Looking forward to the challenge and getting to know you.

Hello all! I am a 42-year young mom of two beautiful girls, one in high school, one in college. I live in the wonderful state of Texas with my hubby, my girls (when they are both home), my golden and my lab.

Over the years my weight has gone up and down...I'm ready to get off the see saw and make permanent changes. The epiphany came as I was standing in my closet. So many clothes and I can wear only a fraction of them at a time! Ridiculous!

I love to walk and want to make that a fitness priority every day. I am happy to be a part of this team :)

Welcome Anna. I'm from Havre. Hope you didn't get a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. We just got the 20 below temps but at least the wind died down today. I know my food service delivery truck got stuck in Harlowtown when they closed the roads on Friday...I'm catering a big 6 day Mardi Gras party at the college so was really counting on some of that stuff...but we make due-it is, after all, winter in Montana!!

Hi everyone. I am not new to spark but I am new to this team. I have lost over 42 pounds so far unfortunately I did this in 2 months because I was sick. I had a lot of health complications that led me to being on a ventilator and having a heart attack. I am finally starting to feel better and I have reached that point where I am not losing any more weight so now I need to exercise. I would still like to lose 60 pounds and be healthier and hopefully be able to come off some of my blood pressure medications. I am only in my 30's but have the health problems of a much older a person. I am ready to change a lot of my old habits and start over.

Hi, everyone. I'm Anna and live in Billings MT where it's darn cold right now! It's been snowing all day and we're still expecting at least one more cold front to be coming in. Love MT! I've managed to get another night of waking in. I took 3 of my granddaughters to the gym (ages 6, 4 & 3) to walk the track. The youngest (she's princess butterfly this week) and I managed to get 3/4 mile in while the 2 older ones probably got 2 or 3. However, according to the oldest, they did 200 miles each. I told her I was very impressed! Thanks for listening, I really appreciate the support!

I am a daughter of God.

After reading through the workout plans, I think it is best that I start with the best foot forward. I suffer from arthritis so I don't want to overdo it when I am just beginning.

During the winter months I will likely walk at our local indoor track (too much snow to contend with outside).

I'm looking forward to this journey.

I am Gini. I joined this team so that I can have a program to follow to increase my walking abilities. Right now I walk for 10 minutes every morning but there is no structure to what I do. I think, after reading the program for the Best Foot Forward group, that it is where I should start and use it to strengthen me and build more endurance.
I hope to get to know many of you and to share some tips and fun.
