Hi. My name is Lori and I am 30 years old. I am a single mom to a beautiful 6 year old princess. I'm looking to lose weight and eat healthy. The challenge is I hate exercising and I hate healthy food. I have a lot of work ahead of me but hopefully this site and everyone's journey can help motivate me as well.

Hello to all you newbies! Hopefully you've joined some challenges that will help you along the way. It takes time to change bad habits and make positive changes. Just keep plugging away everyday! If you blow it in the morning don't give up on the whole day! Make better choices at lunch and dinner. I WILL get easier and before you know it you'll see results! I'm here if you need help-together we can do this!!! emoticon

Hello! My name is Alexis and this is day two for me. I really need help staying motivated. I hope to meet some other people that also have 100 or more lbs. to loose and we can encourage each other. I live in western NY with my husband and 5 children. They are 6,8,10,13 and 16. I work at the YMCA in school age child care and aquatics. It is really sad that I am a swim instructor and life guard, but I am so out of shape. I want to set a good example for my own children as well as the children that I work with daily. I am also a full time student online at the University of Phoenix for communications. I am a freelance writer in my "spare" time.

If you can eat breakfast after you workout might help. Try lean protein before workout if you need to eat. You just might be eating too early. Let me know.

I thought this could help me. I already eat healthy, but I suspect it may be too much healthy. I am going to give this a shot mainly for portion control. The worst is that I work out every morning before work at PF, but then my stomach growls all day at my desk. Ughhh. My snack are fruit, almonds, etc. I am hoping this will help.

Hey, Dawn. A friend of mine was telling me what she is doing. She eliminated starches from her diet - potatoes, rice, bread. And she is starting to look good! She has been doing it since mid-March, but we can do it too! I am going to get serious tomorrow as it is already after dinner time. Pray I don't get the munchies! Love ya too much to give up on you, Sweetie!emoticon

Hi, I just started this morning. The reason I did is because I do eat healthy and I go to the gym 5 days a week before work and my weight is NOT changing at all. In fact, some weeks I gain and it is very frustrating.emoticon

Hi everyone. I dont know when I joined this team & I dont know how many of the challenges I actually did (being honest) but I saw this months challenge (surpass Ohio in the month of April) & was wondering HOW (besides on "MY FITNESS" page) are you going to count all of the NY Teams fitness minutes? Does it just know from our own tracking or is there a "SPECIAL SPOT" that we have to put the teams fitness minutes?

Hi everybody. I just joined last week, and have so far to go I am just making it a goal to log in daily and respond to some forums. THAT is a big step for me. Funny, but it seems to have an effect. This morning I had thought to stop and buy a not healthy breakfast. Instead, I thought to myself "you deserve better than that" and picked up some almonds to go along with the roll I had brought to work.
