Welcome to God is So Good and good luck with your transformation. We're all here to help, encourage or whatever you need. This is a wonderful sight because of that. I'm doing very similar to you. I have decided, against all odds, to do a Sprint Triathlon in April and an Olympic Triathlon in June. I've never done anything like this, I'm 51 and I've had an ACL replacement. Like you many of my family have had diabetes. My brother has recently beaten it and although I don't have it, I plan not to get it by correcting my eating and excersize. With Gods help and friends on SparkPeople, we'll both make it.

I am here because an old classmate raved on and on about this site on her FB page. I investigated and decided I love Sparkpeople!!!!Im embarking on a journey to better health through proper diet and exercise. I was diagnosed as a diabetic several years ago falling prey to the family curse. My dad is a dialysis patient as well as another family member due to complications from this disease. I decided to take a stand and fight for my life...for my family. It is good to be here. I hope to make alot of new friends and saturate myself in healty living and activities. I plan to run a mini marathon in a couple of months. I'll keep ya posted on my training progress. Bye now!:)

She believed she could and so she did!...GoBabyGo!!!!
