I'm 31 years old and last Sunday (3/16) I completed the 28th day of FMD. It was VERY hard to stay on track and I never had any idea just how addicted to sugar I am! That 1st week was HELL dealing with caffeine AND sugar withdrawl! I ate more that 1st week than I have probably ever eaten in a weeks time (but all the extras were raw veggies appropriate for that phase), because no matter how much I ate I was CONSTANTLY "hungry" as my body craved those carbs. Whew... SOOOO, the results were awesome and completely worth it!

In 28 days I lost 14.5lbs, an inch each from my waist, hip and buttocks and TWO inches from my thighs!

My clothes fit better and I FEEL better and more confident in my changing body. I've been using this week to splurge (once a day) on all those cravings for things I wasn't allowed to have for the 28 days.

Monday, I plan to start the program again, but with a few personal modifications. I'm going to allow occasional wheat and corn products back in as long as they're non-GMO, (I'm fine without soy) and I'm definitely adding back organic dairy to my daily intakes because I feel that dairy isn't an option in my diet. I left it out for 28 days for the diet, but I think that as a woman we need every bit of help we can get in the calcium department and I found FMD to be seriously lacking in calcium.

Overall, I can't be happier with my results and I definitely owe it to FMD because doing "the dieting thing" with 5 days of exercise a week was NOT GETTING ME ANYWHERE! For 3 months, I watched what I ate, kept my calorie journal here on Sparkppl, and exercised 5 days a week and didn't BUDGE on the scales. My metabolism was definitely wrecked and FMD salvaged it! *grateful* emoticon

I did really well on my 28 day plan. Phase 2 was the most difficult. I am close enough to go on maintenance as I noticed that my energy level dropped dramatically when I tried to go below 113 so I guess I need to adjust my goal.

I am 5ft and maybe 1/2 inch so I thought my goal should have been 110 or 111 but when I tried to go lower I think my body raised holy heck! I am just going to work on toning what I have and see how that goes.

I'm in Phase 2 of my 2nd week this time around.
Week #1 ~ Gained 2.4 lbs. emoticon
Week #2 ~ Down 2.4 lbs. (so far on day 4) emoticon

I lost a little over 15 pounds and 12 inches (over all) last year from July to November which I was proud of considering that: emoticon

I was 66 years old,
I had a complete hysterectomy when I was 28,
and chemo for stage 4 breast cancer at age 42. emoticon

I held on to that achievement of those four months until I Stopped Smoking on Jan. 25th 2014 emoticon and gained back 11.6 pounds so, I started TFMD again on Mon., Mar.10th at 170.6 pounds.

My first week I didn't do so well. Getting back in the grove is harder than I thought it would be. But, it is getting easier. I'm still making mistakes but I did before and manged to lose.

This go round I don't plan to stop living The Fast Metabolism Way of LIFE, even after I reach my goal.

The Good Habits l have now Thanks to TFMD are:
I don't drink real coffee ( I drink a cup of herbal coffee as a treat).
I have never stopped drinking half my weight in ounces of water.
Eating sprouted wheat bread.
Eating more fruits and veggies than I ever did in my life.
I only use Coconut Oil.
and I Don't Smoke any more! emoticon

I know some of you have lost that 20 pounds (or more) in 28 days and I truly think that is wonderful. But, some of us have issues that have our metabolism in worse shape than others and I am here to tell you that we too Can Do This too!!!

Well I have made it through the 28 days and starting over again. My weight loss has follows:

Week 1-- 5 lbs.
Week 2-- 1 lb.
Week 3-- 1 lb.
Week 4 1 lb. Total weight loss 8 lbs.

Now this may not sound like much to some but I am 62 years old and my weight kept going up no matter what I tried. I think I am on the way to fixing my metabolism while eating a lot of food.

Looking everything over I think I was too sloppy on my portion control!! Have to watch that this week.

This morning I made the Buckwheat Pancakes from the first FMD cook book. They are great! I thought they smelled lovely. I did add a bit more water to the batter as it was a bit thick. Also when cooking them they don't turn real brown as there isn't any oil in them so you have to watch them closely. While cooking them I put 1 cup of blueberries in a pan and added 1/4 water and half a packet of stevia and cooked that until it was thick and bubbly. Poured the blueberries over the two pancakes and enjoyed. I was surprised as they stuck with me until lunch. A great phase I breakfast!

I am 67 years old so, my metabolism may be worse than most. Especially since I had a total hysterectomy at age 28 and chemo for breast cancer at age 42.

I started TFMD 7/1/13 and

My inches lost are:
L. Bicep ~0.5"
L. Forearm ~ 0.0"
Neck ~ 0.75"
Chest ~ 1.0"
Bust ~ 1.0"
Midriff ~ 1.5"
Waist ~ 2.5"
Tummy ~ 2.0"
Hips ~ 1.5"
L. Thigh ~ 1.5"
L. Calf ~ 0.75"

Total Lost = 13.0 Inches over all.
and 14.6 lbs I guess my metabolism has not completely healed yet.

I am down 1 size in all my cloths. It feels great! I am on to my 4th 28 day cycle. I have 25 more pounds to lose to reach my goal of 135 lbs.

I went to the doctor today for a blood work up and was pleasantly surprised. My cholesterol 6 months ago was 261 (really bad) and triglycerides were 128 (ok) but this time I got my cholesterol down to 214! Triglycerides were 87! I also lost 10 pounds! Doc couldn't stop bragging because I did it all with diet and exercise! I refuse to get on statins! Too many side effects! He said he wish he had more patients like me, but then he laughed and said he would be out of business if he did. LOL I told him about my diet and my exercise I have been doing. I am so glad to see it is working! emoticon

Haylie says that we might sometimes seem to plateau but still lose inches. I wish I had measured before starting the diet. There is a definite change in the fit of my clothes.

MINDBATTLE, RANEYDAY91, YENGLISH100, and others WOW, your weight loss is amazing! This is so exciting to see what y'all are doing!

This is the start of my 2nd week and I lost 3.4 Lbs the first week. I am amazed! I started on Mon. 7/1 at 174.4 and this morning I was at 171.0. My total inches (I have been measuring on Saturdays in 11 places for a long time) were 302.5 last Sat. 6/29 and this Sat. 7/6 were 301.5. That's 1 inch loss over all.

I did a lot of things wrong too! I didn't get my book until Wed. 7/3 and I'm still reading it.

Things I did wrong:
#1. I ate Brussels Sprouts in Phase 1
#2. I ate an Apple in Phase 3
#3. I did not do any exercises.

But, I didn't let that bother me at all. I just kelp trying to get it right. I did give up coffee and it wasn't as hard as I thought.

The rest of this 28 days I'm eating 1.5 portions because I have 46 lbs to lose. My goal is 125 lbs.

I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale! I was at 149.8! I haven't seen that number in so long I don't remember! My 1st goal is 145 then I would like to reach 140! I can't believe it! My husband and I are doing this together and he is always up on the high fat days and down on the low carb days, but I am always up on the low carb and down on the high fat days. Guess my body likes that healthy fat.

Today is July 5, 2013. This past 2 weeks I have been busy and not paying close attention, the past week I have not even tracked my food. My weight this morning was 238.2 up 3.6 pounds from last month when I followed the Fast Metabolism Diet. I leave for 12 days of family vacation with all of the stress that comes with visiting family. Also will be in the Chicago area, pizza heaven. I have 6 days to recommit to eating healthy.

Yesterday was weigh in day for me and I was down another 2 1/2lb. and lost 2 1/4". I thought that was terrific as since my sister has come for a visit my eating plan has suffered. I seem to never get the snacks like I should and some of the places we've eaten at were less than desirable. I know I have to get this all in check if I don't want to lose ground. I also do not feel very good because of it. Tonight I got out my little cold lunch bag and tomorrow when we leave for whatever adventure awaits I can take my snacks with me. Wish me luck at getting myself back on track. emoticon

RapidMom I am soooooo excited for you! Yay!

I was thrilled this morning after weighing in! No I wasn't down but I wasn't up by much. My lowest on this diet so far has been 154.8 and after spending three days eating healthy fats and not do low carb I was afraid I would be way up on weight! I know that my next few days are my real weight loss days so I am thrilled ladies! I want to see below 153 this week!

So did a month, took 1 week off. Had a 4 lb boomerang. Then last week was back on the plan. Well as of yesterday morning I was down 9 lbs from 2 weeks ago!!!!! I am so excited. I am now 15 lbs from my goal. I will be on the plan this week and next week, then we'll see. I may take the week of the 4th off.

I weigh less than I did nearly 12 years ago. I'm just thrilled!!!

On day 3 and lost 2.2 pounds! That is awesome for me! I usually am lucky to lose .5 a month here lately! So encouraged! Looking forward to high fat tomorrow!

I was just looking at my measurement progress emoticon

I am quite happy considering things have not moved much for a very long time.

Neck -.5 (this has not moved since 5/9/12)
Chest -1.5 (DH says the girls are the same size, so hoping it is back & side fat) emoticon
Waist -3
Belly Button -5 Yes, minus 5 inches!! emoticon
Hips -2.25
Calf -.25
Arm -.75


Now, when I got my new scale, it had a tape measure with it, and so I might be measuring a little bit differently, in either direction, but I dont think THAT much differently. emoticon
