First and foremost, congratulations on the weight loss to date! Totally amazing!

What I love on Spark People is that the support is unlimited! You need motivation, read up on the success stories and/or post a query and someone will be there to help you along. It is always difficult to start something new but Spark People make it so easy for us all to achieve our ultimate goals. Take it step by step: a) study the site, b) incorporate good habits from the beginning, c) start exercising, etc.

As co-leader of this team I recommend that you check out the following link. This will inform you as to what is available to you on Spark People. Very useful ... It will actually help you get set up on SP.

Hello Everyone!

I am 37 years old, I have one daughter, one dog, one cat, one boyfriend, one house, two jobs, and two love handles!

I started my journey June 18th at 193 pounds. I was using a calorie counter app that I really like, as well as a weight chart app, but I found I was missing something... I needed more education, motivation, and accountability. I started sparkpeople on July 8th. I tried to back log everything, so I could get everything in one spot, but still find myself double logging everything, lol.

Currently, I'm at 180.8. I'm happy with the progress, but also realized this is going to be a long year before I can get to the maintenance stage. I'm trying new foods and holding myself accountable. I enjoy reading up on the boards, recipes, and articles too, just not much of a poster... Hopefully I can overcome that, cuz I'm going to need all the support I can get. :)
