HI Missi, welcome, and what a beautiful daughter you have. I have been here a week and still learning my way around, the fitness and food trackers are my lifeline. I also just found the getting started page the other day, which was a big help, with explaining where things are. Thank you for the note and the encouragement! I have to admit, I haven't spent as much time as I'd like on here, and need to watch the tutorials. I tried navigating my way around and got a bit frustrated. I have been working out and counting my calories on an app. on my phone a couple weeks now, but think that adding the personal accountability will help a lot to keep me going.

Welcome aboard Missi! I've really enjoyed spark people so far and hope to keep at it for a looong time! I'm a week and a couple of days into this whole deal and I absolutely LOVE that I can micromanage everything! From how much I eat to how much I work out, I can make friends and create my own goals an challenges...sparkpeople is great so I really suggest you spend a lot of time on the website learning your way around. There's all kinds of motivation and inspiration to be found here. Plus you get encouraged by others and you can encourage your friends as well!! Lovin' it!

Hi, My name is Missi. I am a 32 year old mother of an almost one year old child. I got married to a wonderful man almost 2 years ago, and was in close to the best shape of my life. Long story short, Wedding night got prego with my precious baby girl, Had digestional diabetes, and gained a ton of weight. I had to have a c-section and so that put off working out a bit, and then I got lazy. It's been almost a year, and I am sick of being where I'm at. Being 10-15 pounds shy of 200 pounds is not easy on my 5 foot frame! I'm ready to lose weight and get some energy back so I can keep up with my little one! I'm hoping being on here, I can connect with and make some friends, and we can reach our goals together.
