This is my second attempt to get in better shape and better health. Two years ago I was doing well. I had lost 14 lbs and was exercising 4-5 times a week. Last year we had multiple losses in our family. Within 1 year I lost my sister, my mother and a beloved great-nephew. Last week my 17 yr old cat had a stroke and passed away. And so I stopped focusing on my health. I've gained back all the weight plus added an additional 5 lbs. I was always tall and thin and never had trouble with my weight. Then my age (65) caught up with me and the things I eat and the exercise I get no longer "fit" me. I need a new direction. So, I'm back with SparkPeople and with the determination to get healthy. Today I started watching what I eat, and tonight I will begin my exercise routine. I would appreciate your encouragement and your advice! Thanks for reading about me.
