Hi everyone,
My name is Mark. I am the scoutmaster for Troop 254 out of Hopkins. We are a small troop of about 20 boys. We go camping about once per month. We are going to the hike up on the north shore this coming summer. I am really looking forward to it, however I know that I need to get in to shape and create for myself a healthy lifestyle. my hope is that I will be able to use the spark program to help me with that.

Hi Everyone, my name is Chris and I'm an Eagle Scout and the patrol leader for the Eagle Patrol from Woodbadge; so I claim to be a double eagle. I come from a scouting family; two brothers both Eagle Scouts and a mother and father that are both Silver Beaver recipients. They both have spent the last twenty plus years working the summer camp in the California Sierras among many other things involved with scouting . My son made it to First Class till his untimely death, but we only focus on the fifteen wonderful years God gave him to us. My daughter was always a Scout (as much as she could be), working at scout camp and going on all the camp outs. She now has two sons and she can't wait until the're old enough to start Cub Scouts; I can't either. There is in my opinion no other volunteer organization that does more for the youth in our country or the world for that matter than the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. I am really glad I found this team and look forward to chatting and sharing scouting experiences with all of you. Sparkpeople is my way of staying physically fit or I should say getting myself back that way.

Hello, I am glad to have found this team. I have been involved with scouting since 1991. I am a den leader for my second son who is a bear this year. I have a 29 year old Eagle that I took through the whole program also. Let me just say, it is much more fun the second time around. LOL
I just received an invitation to work staff for the upcoming Jambo so thought I might need to kick the fitness program in gear and start recording more accurately and being more accountable to myself also.
Thank you again for this team and cannot wait to share fitness experiences with you all as well as scouting life and ideas.

I am new to the team, not to SP. I am super excited to see this team is here. I am Cubmaster of 40 wonderful scouts in Pueblo, CO.
My goal is to be a great example for the scouts and my family being outdoors and enjoying life to the fullest. God has created such a wonderful place for us and I want to be out in it.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13

More like Back to the team. I was off of SP looking for bigger and badder (faster) diet and exercise plans. Needless to say they didn't work and I back.

I am a Webelos leader and Assistant Scoutmaster (soon to be Scoutmaster). Pack 39 in Allohak Council in WV.

I'm new to scouting but not to spark people. I'm the den leader for 6 tiger scouts. They haven't had a leader for half the year so I'm fervently trying to catch everyone up to get their Tiger patch. 3 more Go See its to go!

Hi I'm new to SP
I'm also a Cub Leader in Western Australia and previous to that a Joey Scout Leader which is probably equivelent to a Leader to Beavers. I've been a leader for about 15 years now and love it. My eldest son is a Cub and going for his Grey Wolf.

Shedding some weight will help me keep up with my lot and be a more active group.
Look forward to getting to know you and perhaps swapping some ideas.

Cheers
Lea

I'm glad I found this team. Scouting is what gave me the kick in the pants to finally loss the extra weight and get in better shape. Im a Venturing crew assistant adviser. Recently my crew went on a 2.8 mile high elevation hike, that I was not able to got on due to my lack of being phiscally fit. Sence I was the only female leader to go on the trip (it was a weekend trip which I stayed at bass camp for) That the girls where not able to go one. I felt like the worst leader in the world. I have promised the girls in the crew that next year I will be able to go on the backpacking trip.

Hi! I was glad to find this team as well. It's a good place to share scouting tips as well as SP support from like minded people who didn't really know what they were getting into when our boys were invited to that first scout join up meeting...

It is nice to see this team. I have been away from SparkPeople for a while and have just started back.

It is nice to see a team with members who know just how busy scouting can be. I have a Webelo and a Tenderfoot Scout. Lots of running. Lots of doing. Have been an Assistant Den Leader for both boys. Only one more year and then I can pass the baton on to someone else and dedicate myself to working with the Boy Scout troop.

I can not wait to loose the weight I need to loose so that I can go on some of the campouts and hikes that the Troop will be planning. It will be a way for me to spend more time with my boys and hopefully show the Troop what the meaning of healthy living is all about.

Thanks for starting this team.
