Susan, I know, I love nuts too! They are great, however, you have to be careful about the portion size. I have a hard time controlling myself with them, so, I have kinda been avoiding them. That's great, if you have the power over them, though!
Chris, that's good with the healthy eating, however, you may want to try, Stevia, for sweetness, and then for the butter, depending, I like the spray butter, or lately, I've been using coconut butter! It is delicious, however, all oils, are going to be very high in calories. So, I have been trying to go very light with them, also. Another good one is Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking. It is better for your heart then butter.
I have decided to become a Pescetarian. I have been practicing being a vegan for a while now, however, every now and then, I feel the need for some meat. So, I have opted for fish. I need to be careful, however, to avoid the fish with higher mercury content. Also, only 2 to 3 times a week, at the most. Salmon is great! Lots of Omegas. Great for your heart. I love crab meat, lobster, but not so much the shrimp, because, I think they tend to be a little dirty, from what I have heard.

I do much better if I eat LG. I have more energy and don't feel bloated. right now I have fallen off the wagon. I am eating mostly the same foods but putting things like maple syrup on them--example: oatmeal.
Or--wanting toast --then putting 'butter ' on it.
In the summer I did very well by having green drinks in the blender. But in winter they don't seem so satisfying.
Time to stop farting around and get serious about eating healthy. Start exercising again. The move is DONE. GOAL: Reduce A1C,BP,tryglicerides,and weight. HOW? Low carb plan with lots of veggies and water aerobics at least 3X week. I was doing this but moving stress has halted my good habits. Time to get this going again. I am worth it.
