Hi, I am so happy to be a Sparkpeople member and am looking for that extra spark to motivate me to lose 5 by Christmas. My goal is to stay within my calorie range which means cutting down on my sweet treats. I enjoy yoga class each week and walk every day, but it would be good to add in some more exercise, too, so I'll see what I can do! I'll report in on the 25th of each month.

I am Jenny*. I am back on Spark People and I am going to lose 5 pounds by Christmas! I would love to lose more, but I think that even losing 5 in this season of food will be a great thing!

I am a music teacher at two different districts. I walk a lot at work and try not to complain because it is free exercise! I had a pedometer app on my phone and took it off because it used too much battery power. Well, I decided my health was more important and I put it back on today. It also tracks your steps from day to day and has plans built in to challenge you. Can't wait to give it another shot!

Ooops! I forgot to introduce myself.

I'm Debby from central Montana. I love winter! (I guess that's a good thing because it's winter 9 months out of the year.)

I have 3 daughters, one lives in Austin and graduated from college 2 years ago, my 2nd one is a sophmore in college, and my youngest is a senior in high school.

Hi I'm Annette, I am 48, married with 8 children. 2 college grads, 3 in college, 1 in high school (home schooled), one in grade school and a 3 year old. I have great trouble loosing weight but once I get it off I fight to keep it off.

I do Power 90 five to six days a week, but even though I am building muscle the weight remains.

I have been watching the fun on this team and would like to jump in even though it's a bit late.

My start weight was 175
So My goal is 170

Hi, I'm Renee. Right now I'm a SAHM of 2 college students. We just moved to Maryland in September after living overseas for 10 years. We lived in an motel for 2 months which made watching what I eat hard. We are finally settled in our new home and I have time to concentrate on my health and finding a job. I would like to break holiday tradition this year by 1 - not gaining weight and 2 - not getting sick.

I am Jackie. My DS is 8 and my DD is now 5 and in Kindergarden! I work outside the home, but for my hubby part time. It is a very rewarding and challenging situation.
I've been on SP for several years, but need consistence, accountability, and will power.

Howdy, I'm Shelli. I'm 45, married with two teenagers, live in the suburbs of Cincinnati, and do freelance video production when I'm not working on my circus skills. I've lost 45 lbs and am working on losing another 8.5. I participate in another team challenge that really keeps me on track, but this one falls right in between our fall and winter challenges. Exactly what I need to keep me going during the reboot time!

It is time for me to just do it. I just got my FitBit and I am hoping this will work for me because I am unable to walk for longer periods due to my plantar fasciitis. I am hoping to do numerous short bursts that will add up. I never really felt like that was enough before but now I will be able to "SEE" and measure my activity and shoot for goals that before were hard to measure. -Connie emoticon

I'm Cheri and I've been with Spark 4 years in January. I've lost a lot of weight but have gained quite a bit back because I didn't stick with it through the years. Now, I'm about to turn 60 and it's really going to be a task if I don't get serious. I'm facing surgery sometime after the first of the year, and I'm very uneasy about it being as overweight as I am now.

So...let's do this and support each other as we go! emoticon

I am a married, S.A.H.M. of five children. The weight that had catapulted me into obese range wasn't from pregnancies but being bedridden with a neurological problem. I gained weight by using my fridge as a physical and emotional pain maintenance tool.

I started on Spark at the same time I started on therapies and medicinal intervention to work with it. I could only track my intake for the first few months when I lost the majority of the weight.

I've slid back into some unhealthy eating habits:
ie. rewarding myself with food, ignoring my calorie intake and not hydrating.

I wanted to gift myself being in the middle my Healthy B.M.I. for Christmas. It worked setting a 'Present Goal' when I had gifted myself the present of going from obese to healthy for my birthday.

We can do this!
