good choices after insufficient sleep. I was surprised at the end of the day how well I had resisted temptation and taken care of myself.

Thank you! Today's lunch was a washout. The culinary dept of the school I was attending a class at did NOT serve their usual outstanding Wed/Thur healthy and reasonable menu; they were hosting a few hundred campus-touring high school students. Off to Wendy's where I chose two smaller items from 99cent menu. Ugh. I hadn't been to Wendy's in a long time and won't go again for a long time.

However, on the success side, I ordered nothing large or especially decadent. Dinner between previous class and next class at another location was a McD's southwest salad, no dressing for a nice 290 cal. I ate it in the car since it was pouring rain.

Really good: the rain let up and I was able to walk brisklyfor 15 min to a small park and back, figuring it would wake me up before the evening class even better than the McD's coffee. It did, and I got only a little damp.

All in all, not a stellar day, but could have been so much worse. Given circumstances, I did well to accumulate 55 fitness min today.

Today's success:
SP video + walk + Curves = 85 fitness min

Was starving when I stopped at grocery store after workout and did not succumb to the many things that tempted a hungry shopper!

I didn't lose any weight but I didn't gain either so that's kinda good I guess haha.

I was on the road for five days--my eating schedule and exercise routine were interrupted. I had a ton of shopping to do (basically bought myself a whole new wardrobe!) so I did walk quite a bit. On the downside, I certainly went off of my diet in terms of carbs. I only got in one real/intense workout the whole time.

I was planning to avoid the scale for a couple of days to give myself a chance to get back on track, but I couldn't resist hopping on this morning. I thought I would weigh 225. Turns out I am 217 again--a couple of pounds down from when I left (?) and back to what seems to be my new set point.

On the downside, I am still FAR away from the goal I set for Christmas...but I am maintaining, so I guess that is success.

Dances: salsa (standard/LA), casino, rueda de casino, cumbia Colombiana, bachata, mambo, cha-cha-chá, merengue, reggaetón.

Currently learning: Mexican cumbia, danzón, Cuban rumba

Dances to Learn in the future: flamenco, tango Argentino, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, ballroom rumba

Everybody this is a special day: I'm half-way in my weight loss journey. I down 51 pounds!!!!!!!
I can't believe it! I need to keep my focus so I can keep losing around Christmas and New Year!
Also, NSV: I bought a pyjama last night size L in a regular store, a large shirt and a large belt. No X, no XX, regular large in a regular store! Plus I bought a pair of slightly too small, slightly strechy size 13 pants! Last time I was able to get pants that size, I was in high school!! Now I need to keep losing until they fit perfectly, then until they are too big :)

I love that we have a place to share our successes! I lost two pounds last week and did something I never thought I'd do - I ran two miles! I know that doesn't sound like much but two months ago I couldn't even run 1/4 lap on the track. Now I am getting on mapmyrun.com and figuring out new routes in my neighborhood that will take me farther each week. Thanks for letting m share my little happy!

I've had a really hard time controlling my cravings and impulses during my time of the month. In the last few months I've had alot more control over them during that time and every month I get alittle bit better at it:)

@ARW- Thats fantastic! The scaled moved AND you finished your goal!!! Doesnt it feel like such a high?! I was reading a book recently about Set Points (Ill find the name and edit this later) that said that our bodies have Set Points (a weight it likes to be at) when you hit a plateau its actually a GOOD THING... its your body resetting its Set Point to a lower weight ... so you get stuck a a new weight (the new set point) - you fight hard - loose more - and youll hit another plateau OR Set Point Readjustment Period (I like that better!) and the cycle continues ... The book also went on to say that those that "worked through" the Readjustment Period and kept at it - allowed the Reset to happen - actually were able to maintain their new weight for longer ...

Thanks ARW!!!!! Today marks my offiical month (Nov 2- Dec 2) and I must admit I was hoping to see a full 20 lbs lost (I was about 1.4 lbs from it) but I over did it a bit at the hockey game last night and Im up ... though I think its mostly water (I drank 13 glasses yesterday!!! whoa!) cause I dont think I could gain like 2 lbs in a night haha .... but my Body Fat (I have one of those scales) is DOWN! Water is making up like 35% .... when normally mines closer to 24-25% ... But this isnt a diet and the scale doesnt always have to go down ... it will tomorrow :)

CRAMOMMY- great job! 15 pounds in a month, that's amazing! I have been in the middle of a plateau for the last month or so, and today the scale finally moved! It got so frustrating to be working so hard and not seeing any results. I'm hoping to lose another 4 pounds before Christmas. That would put me at 30 pounds lost. Also, I am doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 and today I started the last week. I'm really proud of myself for sticking with it, and completing 30 Day Shred before that.

@Lisa--- I know! Can you believe it?! The number one excuse people use is: I cant loose weight over the holidays .... Um!! YES YOU CAN!! emoticon

Oh, and stepped on the scale this morning ............ 239.6! Which puts me out of Morbid Obesity! I cant tell you how excited I am ... I have a long road ahead, but its nice to see some small "gains"

Tomorrow marks FOUR WEEKS that Ive been Sparking ...

Not going to lie - I have NEVER in my LIFE ever stuck to something for so long or so effortlessly before (and I say effortlessly with my tongue in my cheek) emoticon

Seriously though, I find myself motivated... having zero desire to "quit". I dont even feel like Im on a "diet". I keep tracking- I keep moving- and generally I eat whatever I want ---- in moderation.

This week has been tough - as its that Time of the Month - but Im pushing through ...

I had to recently post my weight for earlier in the month and now (for a challenge) and I was SOOO SURPRISED by the weight loss!!!!

So here it is MY SUCCESS: My starting weight was 257.2 (YIKES!!!)
My current weight is 240.8!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Im 0.8 lbs away from LEAVING Morbid Obesity in my DUST! FOREVER!

Hopefully, Ill be popping back tomorrow to say ...... its GONE! emoticon emoticon

Here's the place to share any successes you've had:
It can be pounds or inches lost, or it can just be eating clean for 7 days in a row, or working out as much as you planned this week.

We want to hear about it and be inspired!
