My name is Jen and I am on my second week of this diet and I have some questions and also comments on other posts and just decided to make a new topic out of it.
Questions - What exactly is a portion of flavoring? I'm asking because in the book it says a 100 calorie portion of Light Mayo is 2 Tablespoons. Does that count as one or two flavorings? Same question with Hummus.
Exercise - I have kept doing my normal exercise and just don't do the same one for six days. For example. Mon - Shapers/Zumba Begginers DVD Tue - Turbo Jam Wed - Jillian Michaels ripped in 30 / Shapers Thur - Zumba on the Wii
I do them each for 30 minutes and if they are only 20 min or 24 then I get out the Wii fit board and do step as fast as I can (without tripping on the Wii board :) ) for whatever time I need to make up. What exercises are you doing since he wants you to do interval exercises?
Fats - He lists out one fat but then on the 100 calorie portion list it has 2 tablespoons or more. Which are you following? Personally I have cup of greek yogurt and put 2 tablespoons of slivered almonds on it. (I use vanilla so I don't have to use any sweetner)
Answers to some posts that I have seen - Counting Carbs and such - On Chris's facebook page he tells you to stop worrying and that that's part of the problem why some don't loose. A low carb day is not the atkins diet. It is simply a low carb day with healthy fats. He says we shold be worrying about portions and eating the proper foods. Also states the portions are what's right for you. In the book he also states it's YOUR hand portions. My hand is fat ( lol ) Meaning it's about 6 oz and not 3 oz. And he states when you start to lose weight then bring your portions down with your hand.
I hope this helps people and I hope you can help me :)
