Hello! I am so glad I found this team! I have always done things in moderation, whether it be shopping, eating, working, etc. I use coupons & sales whenever I can. I watch portions. I pace myself when I work. etc.

I've been impressed with SparkPeople's positive community -- SO much more positive than WW and other sites. So great NOT to hear things like "if you're not losing weight you only have yourself to blame." And so much better to hear things like "maybe you want to add another ten minutes to your workout routine," or "try eating some of these protein-rich snacks!" Real suggestions that can really be put into action!

Hi, I'm Vicki. I'm 56 years old and I have 65 lbs to reach a weight where I can get off of blood pressure pills, and hopefully have more energy. I've been a member of sparkpeople a number of times over the last few years and always let my emotions get the best of me and I'd leave for one reason or the other. But I'm here to stay this time around and noone will make me leave because of something they say to me to hurt my feelings. I have to learn to ignore such talk and work towards a healthier me.
