I don't really count calories. I eat when hungry, stop when satisfied. I find that having "legalized" all food I'm actually eating healthier because I actually DO love a variety of food and if I know I can have cookies whenever I want them I'm ok with just two a day and so choose to have foods that make me feel more energetic more often instead. I don't diet. I don't restrict myself. I used to have an eating disorder so I've very much shied away from those things and have become an extremely sane eater.
Exercise wise I probably do more than many folks....but it's mostly walking. I don't drive so I walk just to get around. I walk A LOT in winter and actually get fewer colds and flus staying away from taking public transit when I can get away from it. I walked to and from my polling place today...about two and half miles...without much thought.

"Food is not love, comfort, or an anxiety pill."
Time to stop trying to solve things with food (lack of included) that food won't solve. Food solves one thing: bodily hunger.
Me too! I'd like to get a better idea about how the moderates operate. Feel free to chime in today!
Through the week especially, I usually will stay in my nutrition ranges. I try to have as many low range days as I can, especially if there is nothing going on, i.e. if it's a work out night I can usually manage to eat very heathfully all day long.
I loosen up on the weekends, but I don't go wild. Breakfast and lunch are usually similar to what goes on through the week. I may snack differently and my meals may be different (usually restaurant meals) and wine is often involved :-)
I try to exercise a minimum of 3x per week, including a minimum of 2x lifting. I take advantage of Saturday mornings and get in a long work out. I take advantage of good weather, which is becoming a premium, for outdoor activities like yard work, walking the dog, biking, etc.
I weigh myself about once per week and try to stay in a 5 pound range. The higher I am in the range the more I reign in my focus (closer use of the tracker, more exercise, etc). The lower I am in the range the less I worry.
I tend to eat reasonably healthy except for some splurges. I could stand to lower my sodium, so I purchase groceries accordingly when possible. I could stand to increase fiber, so I shop to accomodate that as well.
I hope this team takes off - I really liked the thread on the message board yesterday! I gained weight at a moderate pace, lost muscle tone at a moderate pace, and expect to improve both those situations at a moderate pace.
