Running Tough Mudder 1 Dec. in Sarasota. Can't wait!
Good Morning from MA,
Waiting for the Frankenstorm (ie sandy to hit full force) and decided today was a great day to start working on my weight loss goals!
I am looking to lose 35 pounds by Thanksgiving 2013. I have two big goals to be 15 pounds lighter by the Tough Mudder in May and to run the Princess 1/2 marathon in February 2014 (hugh goal for me because I am currently not the most enthusiastic runner)!
These are big goals for me however I have lost my spark (ie motivation) to be a better me...to much bad food and stress and not enough exercise!
I am hoping to find people in the area who might want to train for 5k obstacle course races (great feeling when you finish one).
Keep up the good work and remember the work you put in today will lead you to be the person you want to be tomorrow!
Have a great day and be safe!
Have a great day and remember to put one foot in front of the other to meet your goals!
Hey there new friendly faces. My name is Jen and I recently fell into the world of Obstacle Racing. While I am by no means in perfect shape and my first event literally took 7 hours to complete I am hooked! I competed in the TriState Tough Mudder on Oct 20, 2012 and it was the most amazing fitness experience ever!
I want to share this experience with as many people as I can. One because I am a major advocate of ending childhood obesity by ending parental obesity, but mainly because it was so overpowering to me. I feel so sore and still my mind is buzzing with joy. To complete such a difficult (yet fun) event was life fulfilling and boost my self esteem like nothing else.
So my plan now is to compete in three Spartan Races in 2013 and build a huge team of all shapes and sizes to compete in the 2013 TriState Tough Mudder with me next year. We'll start as a team and finish as a team, no one gets left behind!
