Iron Man? You rock. And you can totally do that!
WOOOHOOO! You always know I am cheering you on!
Not worth having is easy!
Except for my tour of duty in the Air Force, I have been overweight for the majority of my life. It seemed like I would self destruct after I would manage to lose 20 lbs. After a number of false starts, I finally made it past 20 lbs and kept going.
Now I am at a loss of 116 pounds. Looking back, it doesn't seem like it was that big of a deal to do it. I latched on to a healthy lifestyle and I love what I do and really don't struggle with the temptation to self destruct and go back. Although I enjoy pizza, burgers, fish frys and more, they don't have the hold on me like they used to. My life doesn't revolve around those things anymore.
I love endurance sports and recently have really fallen head over heels for triathlon. I am currently training for a Half Iron tri.. 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 run (70.3 miles) scheduled for August, '13.
My ultimate goal is to reach my goal weight and finish a full ironman- 140.6 miles...
I have dreams of racing Ironman Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY (I'm originally from Upstate NY)
